I really hope you can help me figure out how to apply for my parents. So I am writing the steps I did below and really really appreciate if someone can let me know I am doing the right thing, i do not want to screw this!
- Created an account for my dad
- filled out question form, chose visiting canada for more than 6 months (there was no option for supervisa...)
- when it was asked what is your relationship with your family member, I chose Legally married spouse. I initially assumed this means me, because I am in canada and it asked about me in prior questions, but then I could not submit IMM5257 online as it was showing the error "the information in the form is not consistent with question flow" and it was damn confusing. So I realized by "Family Member" in that question it is referring to my Mom who is accompanying my dad. It is really confusing because out of nowhere they suddenly ask what is the relation with your family member and you have no idea who are they referring to! Ok, sorry, lets move on...
- Now, there was no option for choosing super-visa after I did the questionairre so the only thing I did was choosing the type of visa as Super-visa in IMM5257 for both my mom and add in the document checklist.
- Also, when initially I had chosen myself as the family member, it was asking for medical insurance for a minimum of one year but that document is not needed in the new checklist. So I am confused and think that maybe I am doing something wrong here.
Can anyone tell me how is the process for online application of supervisa. I really appreciate if you can also describe it from the parents point of view as my parents can not really apply due to language problems so I have to do it on their behalf.
