Hey everyone - applied for super visa for in-laws in April this year.. submitted biometrics in May.. absolutely no updates since then. submitted application on new portal. Not sure if that's the reason my application is geting delayed. Anyone else in the same boat as me?
ALSO - will they need to do medical exam for the application? Haven't received any medical request either..

My parents in law submitted their app via gckey old portal on April 29, 2022.
Submitted upfront medical: June 30
MIL medical passed: July
FIL medical passed: Sept 8
Additional doc requested: Oct 13
Submitted additional doc: Oct 15
No update until now.
They applied from Philippines and processing time posted on ircc right now is 181 days.
Their application is passed that, they are on their 223 days.
This waiting game is really frustrating. Any body have an advise?

I would like to apply for supervisa on behalf of my parents from India. I am reading on forum and got confused regarding old method and new method to apply for super visa. Can someone please advise best way to apply for super visa along with link of the website.

My sister is a Canadian national and wants to apply for supervisa for parents. But she a house wife and not working at any job. Kindly guide me from whom invitation of the super visa should be. Will it be from my sister's husband or just from my sister? Because I have confusion regarding this point because T3 and T4 and other tax documents will be on my brother-in-law.

I think you can, you're a PR regardless your card expiry date. Even if your PR card is expired/lost/damaged or whatever, you're still a PR. As long as your mother's supervisa is concerned, I think they only care about if you're a PR or not, that's it. They should not or possibly wouldn't care about the expiry date of your PR card. But if you're unsure, you can wait for the new card to be arrived before applying.
