Hi, how long does it take to receive passport after submitting it to VFS dhaka?

For my mom it took less than 2 weeks.

No, not required for Super Visa. Only my NOA of previous year.

Question for anyone who recently got the visa approved.
How long the visa is valid for?
My mothers visa got approved and the visa sticker says expiration is December, 2025. Even though her passport expiration is 2029.

Was this supervisa? It should be until Validity of passport, but some are getting for only 5 years. Dont know why..

Yes this is for supervisa. Passport validity is until 2029 but got the visa only for 5 years.... so messed up

They are in India and we did online application on GIC portal. Does it make any difference for new or old portal. also, are there really different portals?

How did you send the medical? Was it upfront or upon request? I did upfront medical for my parents but didn't send as an attachment though mentioned UMI in application. Now they again asked for medical? Don't know what to do!

Need suggestion. Checked with IRCC regarding supervisa application status applied on 6 Aug 2021. They mentioned in the call:
"your father has passed criminality check while eligibility check has yet to be initiated. Criminality check for your mother is in progress while eligibility check for her has yet to be initiated."

Should I wait for the result of this application or should I create a new application in the new portal?

I recommend create a new application if travel is planned sooner.

If you don’t mind how old is your mother? I’m just speculating that maybe they’re doing 5 years for older parents to force them to do full medical checkup in 5 years. That would be messed up. I wouldn’t want to go through the whole process again in 5 years. Think you should raise an online form and ask them, after all you paid for 10 yrs visa

Hi All,
I am looking to apply for my parents Super Visa from India. My dad retired 2 years back and my mother is a homemaker.
I have few queries:

1. Is it important to submit marriage certificate? I am really finding it hard to get one. Covid has made it more difficult.
I heard that I can submit the affidavit but I am not confident about it that IRCC will accept it or not. Any idea on this?

2. What can I show as strong ties to India. My dad has investments and all but no property on his name as we live in a joint family and everyhting is on grandpa's name. How to prove strong ties to India?

Any help is appreciated.
