Hey guys, I generally only come here for checking updates and its been a long time since I had to use this website. Below are my timelines for my in-laws supervisa.

(Original Travel Visa applied in Aug still stuck, gave up on that)
Supervisa Applied: 16-Oct (GCKey)
Biometric: Already done for Travel Visa application
Medical: Upfront
IRCC webform: 19-Nov (after seeing someone's comment here)
IRCC New Portal application: 23-Nov
IRCC Webform asked more details on 23-Nov, but didnt respond.
Passport Request: 26-Nov (from GCKey)
IRCC Portal Automatic Update: Your application was withdrawn.

I have lost both my parents over past few years and they were never able to come visit me to Canada due to illnesses. It affects me when I see people not being able to unite with their parents. So sharing these timelines of my in-laws in hope that they help.

I am generally not active here, but will be for a couple more days if anyone has any questions.

I started with work-permit, PR, Citizenship over last 9 years and the process from CIC has gotten complex and slower over time. I guess its because of the huge volume, but also due to redtape, random rules and policies and overall lack of just doing their damn job.

The fact that people who applied in Feb/Mar are stuck while latest application gets processed is outrageous. Creating 2 streams to submit, then prioritizing one over another...collecting fees on both sides, the whole system is a mess. And over the years, I have lost hope in them trying to fix it.

Edit: I used the Webform and IRCC portal application on top of GCKey because that is what I understood by reading some comments, and figured that for CIC, this is the only way I can get their attention (although it meant wasting more money)

Well said, this they consider only as a place for generating money for the government. because they have to provide covid relief and this is an easy money generating method, so they can play with applicants and do whatever they want, because people who apply on this site are desparate. I have applied for the supervisa via GCKey in April and Biomerics was done for my mother on July, but after that no news. Would you suggest to apply through the portal. It is going to be just a try for me. Because, we have no other way to reach to IRCC and demand an answer.

But in this forum i couldnt find anyone who is in same situation i.e. Biometrics submitted but the portal says that they have not received the finger prints.
If anyone is in same situation, please reply.

Please keep trying frequently...slots open up as people cancel closer to the date.

If the dates do not open-up we are trying to raise a Web-form asking for extension of Biometrics. And when we are doing this, it is asking for the location where the application is being processed? Is it default New-Delhi for people applying from India? How can we identify to which center the application has been submitted to?

1. Unite with immediate family member who is a PR/Citizen
2. Visit children and grand children for more than 6 months (Super Visa)

my mom is going to visit us only for 3-4 months , but because of less processing times and less need to show family ties (financial) in super visa we are applying super visa

So really appreciate any guidance i can get from someone whose applications are progressing well

I think its worth a shot! But since yours is an older application, might be better to get the documents updated with latest date? Sorry to hear about your situuation and hope you get to meet your mom soon.

Mother super visa timeline:
applied on July 8th
Biometrics submitted on August 16th - profile not updated
Raised a webform on August 22nd for covid 19 exemption
Received mail response on Sept 10th
Received re submission of biometrics request Oct 3rd
Re submitted biometrics - Nov 16th
Biometrics updated on the profile - Nov 17th
Medical request received - Nov 24th
Medicals completed - Nov 29th

I see that most on here did upfront medicals, in our case we didn't do that. If anyone here has done medicals after receiving the request from IRCC, any idea how long it may take for the profile to be updated? and how many days it may take after for the approval decision?

You can upload upfront medicals, vaccination certificate, Use of representative or anything which is not added in mandate section and you feel will add value to application..
