Hello,
I applied for my mother's Super visa on May 8th, 2021.

No status updated yet. No medical request yet. Still showing background check. Biometric done when visited Canada last year.

Is anybody in the same boat who applied around the same time and still waiting ??

There are many, my parents supervisa application submitted in Mar2021, i reapplied today via new IRCC portal

Any one heard or experienced this issue in new IRCC portal. i submitted my parents application, payment was approved, got an error and application status went to "Pending". It seems some glitch to me.. Any idea

I created IRCC login today , after signing in, I am not able to start new application - I get a blank page and after a while an error

I applied for my parents super visa in August 2020 and reapplied on Sept 24,2021 using GCKey with biometrics done in August 2021 & upfront medical, no update no eligibility started yet. Also, submitted travel exemption webform on October 13, no reply at all....so Frustrating

thats Crazy, what is the use of us re-submitting the applications. Is medicals review completed?

It is not even picked up yet....so all showing we do not need......

there were issues yesterday, i re-submitted and after payment, it just showed a "unknown error". Till this morning 8am EST- application status was pending. And now it shows as submitted... New portal has lot of glitch..

My new application (Sept 24, 2021) has also been done via GCKey, not via IRCC portal

Oh i assumed new portal, i submitted yesterday via new portal.. Still biometrics and UCI is not linked.. God knows how long to link and how long this process.. Lets see..

I did a travel exempt we form yesterday and got a reply today, below is what they wrote - guess I am applying they new portal


We have received your request for a written authorization under the travel restrictions exemptions.



Please note that IRCC will only issue written authorization to an applicant who holds a valid Canadian travel document (i.e. electronic travel authorization [eTA] or visitor visa). Based on our review of your enquiry and the information in our system, we can confirm that your application for a visitor visa is in our processing queue. However, since you do not yet have a valid Canadian travel document, we are unable to process your request for an exemption to the Canadian travel restrictions. As such, your request will not be processed.



While we are unable to provide an update on the processing of your visitor visa application, please note that if you applied before September 7, 2021 and need to travel to Canada now for one of the following reasons, we recommend that you submit a new application through the IRCC portal. If you require written authorization, your request will be processed as part of your new visa application.

hi everyone ,
seeking help here.

I applied super visa for my parents and got the biometric req. However due to unavailability of appointment , I have booked their biometrics after 30 days. I also sent a webform request.

My ques- is anyone who submitted the webform received any acknowledgment email saying that webform has been submitted because I did not receive any such ack email.

Second ques - after how many days did you guys get any email from them confirming it is ok to submit biometrics after 30 days.

usually you got reply in 5 days, in my case they mentioned all expired letter will work. no need of new letter to submit biometric. It had worked for me.. no issue while submitting biometric even letter was expired. so dont worry what ever the date you getting just book bio for that date.
