Hello, I applied for my mother's visa but I am not sure whether it was for a super visa or a normal visitor visa. Is there any way to differentiate based on application? She already has a valid super visa which is expiring in March 2022 and I applied again so that she can stay more than that.

Any insight will be appriciated.

No need to bother.. They are aware due to COVID there were backlogs... My parents got on 26Mar2021 and did Biometrics 30Sep2021. Just take the same letter , it all works... No need to send any email to IRCC or vfs

Why did you re-apply if she had visa. You should have applied for extension...... Did you mean the 10 years visa will be completed in Mar2022?

Hi Guys,

Hope to get some information. I applied supervisa for my Dad from India on 7th Sep 2021. Got the biometric completed yesterday 12th Oct 2021. The application status also shows Biometric completed. I know its difficult to know for certain but anyone having any idea how long is it taking in general these days to get the request for Medical as I am assuming that would be the next stage.
I was thinking if I should wait for a week or should I plan for upfront medical and send the details myself via webform without waiting for a medical request.
Any suggestion/ info would be sincerely appreciated.

How much is the wait time for visitor or super visa? I applied yesterday. My mother has valid visa till march 2022, can she enter canada if visa is valid for less than 6 months? I have already applied for new visa.

Yes, her visa is getting expired in Mar2022. She got super visa for 7-8 years only because her passport at that time was expiring in Mar2022. Now she got new passport so i applied for new visa. My dad’s passport/super visa is valid for 2 more years.

As I heard, once Biometric & medical is done, it triggers a notification to IRCC system & an agent has to manually update the results in the system. However, Biometric / medical update is never an indication of application being processed to finalization. In this forum, there's a guy applied on March 2020 with Biometric & medical (Upfront), once the medical expired 1 year later, IRCC asked for redo medical, he did so. After that again no update for last 6-7 months.

Later after 1 year once I submitted a web form they requested my mums medical again which got approved in 3 days. Since the approval on Aug 10 2021 there is no update. In both circumstances Singapore office asked my mums medical. It’s just a pathetic wait game at this point

The timeline is uncertain and dependent on Visa office, as some have received as soon as 1-3 days after Biometrics Completed, but the average time is 28 days after Biometrics completed. Also, there are some cases where people received PPR after 30 days without getting a Medical Request for Super Visa.

I am also waiting for some communication for my parents supervisa, our timelines are similar but I did medical upfront. Below is my parents time line

Application submitted -Sept 3rd( medical upfront)
Biometric request - sept 5th
Biometric shows submitted - Sept 7th.
Waiting since.
