Any one who did upfront medical or medicals post submission of application? How many days it took to see the medical status update in GC key?

we did upfront medicals for my parents after submission of application. Here’s the timeline. We did not get any email update when medicals passed. We saw the update when we logged into the account.


March 22, 2021 - applied online

Aug 26, 2021 - biometrics completed

Sept 21, 2021 - upfront medicals done and web form submitted

Sept 27, 2021 - medicals passed

Here is the detailed timeline for my father :

Application Submitted: 14 September

Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: On September 20, 2021, You passed the medical exam
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics : September 21, 2021 Completed
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I see your from Bangalore, where did parents do their medicals? Elbit or Fortis.

Its like 10 days my parents did , still no update. It depends on case to case. Hopefully next week i should hear something..

My parents are in Kolkata so they did from Pulse Diagnostics in Kolkata. But when I did mine a couple of years back it was from Fortis Bangalore.

For my parents we uploaded the e-medical sheet on the web form, along with their Covid vaccines certificates. Didn’t receive any email update but on their GCkey profile we saw the medical passed update a week later. Hope this helps! good luck!

My parents are in Kolkata so they did from Pulse Diagnostics in Kolkata. But when I did mine a couple of years back it was from Fortis Bangalore.

Thanks for the information. Same here. I have submitted their emedical along with COVID vaccination certificates... Lets see.. Next week Monday is closed , but hope from tuesday they start.. Many officers would be on leave owing to thanksgiving, so there might be more delay too...

My parents received biometrics request on Sep 23 and they mentioned a 30 days deadline for submitted them. but due to huge backlogs in Indian VFS Offices, we only got appointment for Nov 6. I raised webform to inform IRCC of the situation but did not receive any confirmation. What should I do?

No need to bother.. They are aware due to COVID there were backlogs... My parents got on 26Mar2021 and did Biometrics 30Sep2021. Just take the same letter , it all works... No need to send any email to IRCC or vfs

Dont need to request.. you call nearest clinic/panel physician. Inform them you want upfront medical, it does not work for all categories, but works for Supervisa. Schedule an appointment with them. Once done they will give you an emedical sheet, dont forget that. Upload that via webform..

Note: Some panel physicians are very particular, they say if you already submitted application then we dont do medical exam. Just tell them we want to submit with our application. When you say its for visitor visa for parents they dont say anything. They know its needed and can be done, so they will schedule an appointment. It is valid for 1 year.. So even IRCC missed to see your email you sent with emedical sheet and they again send you email for medicals, then again attach the emedical sheet(same one), it works until 1 year...

TRV regular < 6 months - does not need medical, sometimes depending on parents age they do request, better to send if your going to do for supervisa..

Supervisa > 6 months - need medical

And yes if needed you can send for TRV as well and it will work for both...
