I agree with @Omofar. I applied for a study permit in March- single applicant, (paid only one semester fee and had POF of $40,000) and was denied due to 'low economic ties and insufficient funds'. I later reapplied in June via an Immigration Consultant- paid $2,000 for that- with the new application, I made full payment of the first year- $12,000 CAD, had approx $52,000 POF (from my savings and my spouse's savings), still a single applicant, paid 50% of AirBnB booking for 3 weeks (approx $350 USD), wrote a self-isolation plan, supported the application with our property documents to address the low economic ties... I was still refused after about 3 months. It's crazy! I was advised to go for Judicial Review- but honestly, I'm tired. Now, I have requested for a refund from the school- unfortunately on Airbnb, I'm only entitled to a $10 refund.
I think a Judicial Review takes ages upon ages. It is very unfortunate that you had to spend so much money, especially on an Immigration Consultant. You seem to be a very well spoken person and I am pretty sure you are well educated. A bit of research online you would have put together at least an equally good application.

I actually submitted the first application myself, but when it was denied, I was advised to engage a consultant- I could almost swear that the new application would be approved, going by how much work was done- especially in my SOP and my consultant's Representative Submission Letter. But I guess this isn't just a good time.

Guy,

May your wisdom and your father's wealth never depreciate. May it never be spent on scoffers who do not appreciate the value of hard earned money.

One of my clients recently applied to the UK after being denying by Canada 3 times, she got her visa in 6days. No time nonsense people that don't want Nigerians.

All the best.

STUDY
Hi Guys,

Please does anyone have an idea if it is possible to reapply for a Fall study permit that was refused. I actually applied since but I received the refusal letter this October. However, I had commenced my classes in July because I had paid the fees.
Hi Dream_Pretty26,

I'm in the same situation. I just found my refusal letter which was issued on Oct 2, and I have also started online learning since September. It is really frustrating now! I really don't want to stop learning. I know I should inform the school but I dare not. I either don't know if I could reapply to IRCC. I searched the internet but found nothing about this.

As I know so far, I can study in this term (because I paid it) but I need to ask my school if I can continue learning for the next semester. I am also going to apply the gcms notes to prepare the 2nd application. I know I can reapply for the next year but I really want to reapply for this semester. However, it is new situation because covid and distance online learning. I wish IRCC could have a workaround solution to solve this, if it haven't yet.

Sorry to hear about the refusal. Did you receive an AIP before getting this refusal? May I ask where you're from, where you applied from, what program are pursuing? Your answers could help the forum with their applications and help us give you ideas on your next application.

No I haven't received AIP. I'm Chinese and I applied from Beijing. I applied EAPP, not SDS. However, I uploaded my general training IELTS which reached 6666 standards, also GIC, but without one year tution fees (just one semester).

The simple refusal reason is not satisfied will leave Canada at the end of stay based on the purpose of visit. So I think finance is not my problem. But so far I know my drawbacks are I'm more than 35 and jobless. I really need the gcms notes to study deeper.

I will advise you to take it one step after the other (though I doubt that is a viable option, because you are not a permanent resident of the UK, so the exchange program may not apply to you). So get your UK offer, get your UK visa, go to the UK, graduate, apply for the post graduate work permit there, gain UK work experience, then if you still interested in Canada, apply for Express entry from the UK.

All the best.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your situation. I am curious though, is it possible to be jobless in China especially if you are as intelligent as you sound. Frankly, I think the opportunities that abound in China are endless from Technology to Finance to Manufacturing to Agriculture. This will be the VO's mindset and mine as well. I think you should consider looking inwards, perhaps moving provinces and taking advantage of the vast opportunities available in your country.

Wish you the best.

Sad to read about your situation. Accept my sympathy! What you should have done after the first refusal is to go for judicial review without the reapplication. The chances of refusal after an initial rejection is 90%. Your case might have been much easier for JR after the first refusal. It works, and I encourage everyone refused to take this route of JR, if you have the funds. It is worth doing rather than take the nonsense the Visa Officer states on the application. How do you determine that a person will not return to his country after studies in two years? The Federal Court has repeatedly ruled such assessment to be unreasonable. With all the documentation supporting your application, they might not even defend your case if the Department of Justice sees that you have a strong case. Although you may be out of time for JR (60 days), you might still be able to apply for extension of time within which to bring a JR, and with COVID-19, there are chances you would succeed.

Hi Omofar, thank you for your suggestions. Your idea is out of the box for me. If the VO's mindset is similar with yours as you said, I think find a job first and then reapply will be a good idea. However, I am now more concerning about if I could reapply for this Fall semester while I am taking online courses, so I try to find if someone else has met the same situation with me.
