Study Permit Applications at CHC ISB between Dec 2010 AND April 11

Applied on 7th Feb, medical on 24 march, send back on 28march and no replies as up to 27 april... wts happening in CHC, ISBD....last year my friends got their visas in 42 and 34 days respectively... what the hell is goin on this year man... hav my orientation on 5th may...

My orientation is on 3rd May. Today, I got an email from my department Adviser (Graduate Adviser Computer Science). She asked if I am attending or not. My PhD adviser also emailed me and asked about the status of my visa.

I clearly told them that it seems difficult to get my visa on time for the May entry.

About 2 months passed and I even did not receive a medical call. I am not sure if they can finalize most of the cases on time. Only two working days are remaining. Now it seems really hard.

Seems really hard???? Literally impossible. Reserve 20-25 days for final decision after meds done. Go for fall semester.

as i told u that i got medical afer 45 days and now waiting for final result of my visa for the last one month. so if u get medical call it will still take u more than a month until there is a miracle for which i wish ... yes i got the email as well to confirm my status for the orientation. my orientation is on 5th may but i told them that itx not possible for me to come by 5th of may so she told me to defer it for september. but a friend of mine who is already studyin in the same univ told me that if u get ur visa by mid may u can still come... so i will tell u the same bt since u havent even got ur medical then itx gona take long so u better contact ur dept and go for september session.. it wont effect ur studies. i dont know wt the hell is goin on wid them.. it really sux man... but v cant do anything.. v can just hope for the best...

Dear Friend's, I have been admitted to the Carleton University for there Bachlors of Commerce program and currently i am considering applying for the Student Visa along with the Study Permit from Canadian Embassy in Islamabad therefore i wanted to know about the views of the members on this forum about the problem which i have heard from quiete a lot people therefore it would be appreciable if you guys can answer few of my concerns as there is difference on the news circulating in the air and the real experiences of people:-

(1). Are there high chances of Student Visa getting refused if the University asks to take ESL courses ? Even though on my offer admission
It says "ESL may be required" which does not directly means it would be compulsory for me take ESL.
(2). What would u guys recommended when should i apply for Visa as Canadian Embassy recommends to apply 3 months prior to the start
of Semister or Classes which in my case will start in the second week of september ?.

I'm not sure about the 1st question but i would recommend that you should apply ASAP as there is a long long queue if you want to void the delay.

Hahahaha lionheart dont hold nazia accountable.. She z the Aunty Agni here .. Giving hopes to all of us.. But the CHC will respond only when they want to.. We should not be wishful.. Just hope and pray.. InshALLAH we will hear something good.. nazia will get her visa and u will get ur medical call.. In the meantime listen to "Character Dheela" from Salman Khan's new movie Ready..
