extention letter wont work in your case. processing is way too slow .you need a deferral letter . wait till your class start date. by then you will either recieve a medical call or final decision in a worst case scenario. contact international department via email just tell them my student application is currently in process chc needs an updated deferral letter. they will send it to you via email. you should not send any additional docs until officially requested.
