If she wants to come here as a student, she should apply before marrying. There is nothing wrong with marrying after visa approval and she doesn't need to update IRCC. The fact that she is married to a Canadian PR may be a factor at the border when she enters as a student or it may not.

I’m in the same boat mate.
can you please share which path you ended up taking.
my fiance and I are palnning to apply for study permit for fall.
I’m a pr and planning to sponsor Inland once she is here.
if you can share your journey that would be really helpful.
thanks in advanve.

Hi, we are in 2023; I wonder if there is any change in the IRCC's rules, but I am also on a study permit here in Canada. I received my visa on 04/2022, and I got married to my girlfriend in June 2022. I landed in Canada in September/2022, and I have never told IRCC about my marriage. So I want to know if there is any issue with that? My wife would like to join me now, and I am afraid because I read that for PR residents, they face issues when acting like that.
Can someone please give me a proper answer based on a recent similar situation or case?
