Good Day Rich Lady,

Parental sponsorship is a two-step process. Step one is that the sponsor submits a sponsorship application at CIC’s Case Processing Centre, which is located in Mississauga, Ontario. The CIC staff then determines the eligibility of the sponsor. Current processing time is normally 24 months. Step two: sponsored persons (applicants) submit their application for processing at the embassy that the country they are based Processing time varies per country but normally is 2 months.

The sponsor ( ur kids in this instance) has to meet a minimum income in the 12 months preceding the sponsorship application. The minimum income depends on the size of the family. Size of the family includes: sponsor plus anyone they have sponsored in the past 10 years, plus the number of people being sponsored. There is a grid that states the combined family income required for family size .

Size of Family Unit
Minimum necessary income
1 person (the sponsor)
$21, 202

2 persons
$26,396

3 persons
$32,450

4 persons
$39,399

5 persons
$44,686

6 persons
$50,397

7 persons
$56,110

More than 7 persons, for each additional person, add $5,713

The main thing here is to ensuer that your kids qualify for PR..but as they are young they will qualify easily...young immigrants in canada normally get their PR easier than old age immigrants..
