I really don't know how many ways I can write it. If your boyfriend is receiving welfare, for any reason other than disability, he is not allowed to sponsor you.

Why is he receiving assistance? Please explain clearly.
I told him to check if it counts a dissatisfy thx

The questions are personal because I don't understand what is going on here, and unfortunately, I don't know if the story you're presenting is real or not. I apologize if I'm being a little blunt.

You need to find out what kind of social assistance your boyfriend is receiving. It should be easy to sort out - does he have a mental health or physical disability? Is he getting money because of that?

Or is he getting monthly money because he has just found it hard to find full time work? Was he laid off from his previous job?

Can I DM you please?

No. I don't accept DMs because I want people who may have similar challenges benefit from the answer. And I'm not getting paid to answer questions. So please post whatever you are trying to say publicly. Use generics if you have to.

The fact that he has a "condition" doesn't mean that his welfare is for disability.

Have you ever actually met him?

Good. Thirty seconds of Googling answered a question that you were asking us.

But you need to verify that by asking him under which program in Ontario he receives money. Do the cheques or money deposits in his bank account come from the Province of Ontario? Or the federal government?

If he is actually receiving Canada Pension Plan-Disability or Employment Insurance-Disability payments, he may not be barred from sponsoring you. If he's receiving Ontario payments that are not for a disability he is not allowed to sponsor you.

I'm concerned that your overriding purpose here is actually just to get to Canada. I don't know if you actually want to marry your boyfriend more than you want to be in Canada, because these are very serious matters and you're not exactly approaching them seriously.

If you are thinking of a study visa, you'll need probably $25,000 Canadian - per year - in your bank account. And then in Canada, for him to sponsor you, you need to have lived together for at least a year, be able to prove it, and also prove how your boyfriend will pay for all your expenses.

Be aware too - Canada can decline spousal sponsorships if the visa officer feels that the relationship's primary purpose is immigration.
