Hi

I understand now, in the client information form i submitted the IELTS results, a volunteering certificate, 2 internship certificates, DELF A1 certificate and certification for French studies. Unfortunately, i did NOT submit the marksheets for 10th, 12th, or engineering.(which i do have)
Ohh, I would advise you apply ASAP now before July 31. After Aug 1, they will most surely not consider for Fall term. In case, your application is not processed before Sept 3, they will ask for deferred acceptance letter and CAQ (not sure about this, you need to ask someone else).
But make sure your SoP covers the point mentioned by jonsnow and no missing documents.
Here is a link for the document list (it is quite old but you'll get the idea what documents you missed)

In your SoP, also address the previous rejection reason ie documents were missing, now enclosed blah blah
If you navigate the CIC website, you will see they provide a document list country wise (probably in offline application option). In that you can find university/general checklist. It also covers the marksheets and all.

Thanks a lot, really appreciate your response. That answers all my queries apart from these:
1. Is there a method for getting the student permit processed in less than a month? My course starts on September 3rd and it's July 30th right now.
2. Is there any chances of them reconsidering my application if I provide my mark sheets and SOP, if yes, how can I provide them the same?

The fastest process is SDS (only for India and China) but it requires GIC and 1 year tuition payment which is not your case.
Apart from that only other option is apply under university/general category.
I don't think there is any reconsideration process for rejected visa application. You have to apply as fresh applicant. However, they can make decision faster based on previous scrutiny of your application. But this is speculation on my part. I would say apply and hope for the best.
But they have clearly mentioned that applications after Aug 1 for Fall term won't be processed in time.

Contact a consultancy ffs
No consultancy has any form of contact with visa officers except VFS (they only help in filling the application form).
The information present in this forum is more than any seasoned consultant, if properly searched.
If you search the forum, you'll see quite cases in which applications were rejected due to consultants wrong suggestions so it is wise to choose proper consultation and double check the information they are providing. They are paid whether you get a visa or not.

Yo chill? I never said that consultants have contacts with the embassy. The guy botched up his application the first time and that wouldn’t have happened if he had a consultant with him. And not all agents/consultants wrong the clients!

You have a B.Tech in electronics right? The main reason you got rejected was because you are going for flight training (Diploma I assume?) after already completing a B.Tech, not missing mark-sheets. It is a step below a B.Tech. This is a difficult one to overcome and I would suggest you to contact a good consultancy to make your application ASAP.

If you have shown prior interest in flight training, like online courses etc include those. But if out of the blue you have decided to go for flight training, that will obviously raise a red flag. Normally, I do not generally recommend consultancies, but in your case, it will be better if you go for one, since they will help you with this flight training course problem.

Also, attach mark-sheets in your next application. Although it's not the main reason why you got rejected, it certainly wouldn't have helped.

I had the same issue.

Rejected for "Other Reasons" even though no mention of documents to be provided.

I've re-applied, so should you. But at the earliest within 31st of this month. That's the deadline.

Provide an SOP stating you'll come back and each and every academic record semester wise. Resume, extra curriculars. Whatever you can think of.

Wish you good luck. I'm also waiting.

Thank you so much for your detailed reply, great help.
A few questions that I'd like to further ask:
1. Would it be a good idea to quote that I chose Canada and the institute because of the option of Post Graduate Work Permit; as I would like to settle down in Canada eventually. If not, should I write that I intend to return to my home country after the course or should I just leave the subject of my future plans (after flight training) in the SOP
2. Would I have to reapply for a new CAQ as the dates of the course will change? If not, wouldn't a CAQ whose dates do not match with the acceptance letter create problems in the student permit?
3. Is there a method for getting the student permit processed in less than a month? My course starts on September 3 and it's July 29th right now.
4. Is there any chances of them reconsidering my application if I provide my mark sheets and SOP, if yes, how can I provide them the same?
1. its best and advisable not to mention that you want to settle down there, just hint at returning back home and paint a future plan that is adhere to your return

2. You don't have to reapply for a new CAQ has upon an issuance of a CAQ, its duration upon expiration takes a year. It doesn't mean if it didn't carry the same date. It can always be renewed 3wks or 90days to expiration

3. There is no special means of Visa processing even if you are eligible for SDS as most times, CIC might experience a high volume of application. Your best option is to defer your admission to the next intake

4. Yes, there is. That's why on your refusal letter, you were ask to reapply if you can meet with the refusal reasons

Hello everybody,
I had applied for a regular student permit online without agent in June 2018 for the September 2018 intake for an institute in Montreal, Quebec. I had received the CAQ successfully but my application for the student permit was rejected. The reason quoted was "Other reasons: Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualifications, previous studies, missing mark sheets, academic record, level of establishment, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans."
I believe the reason for rejection is probably that i did not provide the marksheets of 10th,12th and B.tech.
Moreover, I did not write an SOP. Why i failed to do so is because of lack of knowledge about the process, and that nothing was mentioned about an SOP or marksheets to be provided. Furthermore, the 'additional document' space in the online application was marked 'optional'

The course is supposed to start on 3rd September 2018. All suggestions for getting around this problems are requested and will be appreciated. What route should I take now? If I go for the January intake, will I have to reapply for a new CAQ with new dates? Is there a way to process the student permit on an urgent basis in less than a month? How to reapply and what are the chances of success?
Some background information:
10th : 9.8 CGPA
12th : 86% (physics 85, chemistry 86, maths 86, physical education 87, english 86)
IELTS: 7.5
DELF A1 : 92%
B.tech in Electronics and Communication with no backlogs and 69% aggregate.
sufficient funds, no GIC as the institute is not a university college but a flight school.

I don't know what to tell you bro. You have such a nice profile but your careless behaviour of applying a study permit resulted in rejection. Immigration clearance officers are also human being, they need all your documents to finalize their decision. How could you submitted your file without attaching your 10 and 12th marksheets ? Please put little efforts to read cic website thoroughly to understand the requirements of study permit. *They have mentioned very clearly that if you want to submit extra documents in your online application, then combined those doc's in one pdf under the size of 4 mb and upload it.
You have been continuously asking the folks that if you apply now then would you be able to get visa or not ? Honestly, no one can give you the exact answer of this question. Now, you have 2 options.
1) Apply for visa with complete documents as early as possible. See what happens. Probably, Eco's will not reject your application if it is completed with required documents. They may I ask you for a revised loa to approve your visa if your existing loa is expired.

2) get it revised loa for winter intake then apply patiently.

Regarding your concern for online doc's submission. See, there are 5 upload columns besides 3 mandatory forms I.e imm 1294, family information and last trv application form. You will have to upload all of this 3. Rest of the other 5 are :

Letter of acceptance , financial support docs, passport, medical form , digital photo.

*In one Letter of acceptance pdf you will have to attach every document which is related to your academics. It should be in this sequence. Loa+fees receipt+ IELTS+your btech dmcs+ degree+ experience letters+ salary slips, recommendations etc. Whole PDF shouldn't be more than 4 mb. In 4 mb , you can easily add atleast 48 pages.

The optional client information column is there where you have to attach your Sop or letter of explanation. If you want it then attach otherwise leave it. That's why they mentioned it's optional. In case of any doubt, Please do refer cic application package on their website. They specified the procedure step by step. Things are pretty easy to do !

It's 31st today in New Delhi, India (my residence):
1. Is it possible to finish an entire application in 1 day and get it submitted
2. If yes, the processing time is 7 weeks, which surpasses my course start date which is 3rd September 2018. So, is there any point reapplying today?
