I e-mailed 1 page pre-assessment on Dec 1st, got e-mail today asking for H1B, paystub, NOC# etc. I am almost done scanning all docs.

How detailed do you think I need to be in writing down all US exp and connecting it with NOC#? (I had 6 H1B employers in the past 9 years.).

Is it possible to have exp in more than 1 NOC# and qualify for AINP? My first US job description fits 2281 and the rest is more 2171.

Thanks Mitzi!
Yes, you're right...it's only a 20-application difference.
We'll just keep ourselves posted on the development.

Inge,
You are scaring me. Hope we need not explain anything at CIC stage. I had just mentioned my NOC # and job description in 1 line.

Hi guys!
After weeks of waiting for my File Number, it FINALLY has arrived today!
Praise be to GOD!

Again, here's my timeline:

October 10- Applied for Pre-assessment
November 10- Received Package to Apply
November 13- Sent Docs via USPS
November 25- AINP Received Docs
December 2 - AINP Emailed File #- xxx-xxx-413

It feels real good to have the file number now....
Whew!
FYI: I applied October 14 for the Pre-assessment. It was typographical error.

I had been reading this forum and based on that I didn't send the one page application for AINP. I sent all the required documents they usually asked and attached a cover letter mentioning all the documents and list of job responsibilities in bullet forms [5 precisely].

If I were you then I would start from the recent job description in 5 or 6 bullet points and go on to the first job responsibilities. [May be only 1 or 2]

As AINP will look your recent job and pay stub so I think you focus on applying under your recent job and look what NOC #. comes under it.
Lastly, it's only my suggestion, you probably have better vision in your case.
Good Luck!!!

Hi dnataraj
I did not mean to scare you :) ... my answer was regarding a pre-assessment case..... For that I sent a 1 1/2 page demonstrating how my current position applied to NOC 2171...

Since we already are certified we should be all set when filing the PR application to CIC... we should not be sending any documentation regarding job letters, experience, etc.. because Alberta already certified us.

BTW did you file your PR application already ?

Seniors,

was wondering how long it will take to get the fingerprints back and if you applied for fingerprinting just after sending the forms for the 2nd stage. I just sent my documents for the 2nd stage just lst week and was wondering what else is needed to prepare for the 3rd stage...

Thanks and congrats to all....

It usually takes 4 weeks as it mentioned in FAQ on FBI site.
I’m not in 3rd stage yet but I have least knowledge that you will need police report from your home country and the countries you had stayed over 6 months after the age of 18.
I would say you can start obtaining police report/certificate or sometimes call character certificate as I assume it would be a little harder since we are not present physically there.
Also we need to do medical but I believe CIC will request doing medical once you get AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt).
I am also eager to know rest of the CIC form and other processing documents, but since seniors haven’t posted any additional information yet, all we can just wait. :)
Hope it helps you and Good Luck!

For PNP application, CIC doesn't care about your NOC.

They are only doing two things at CIC level for a PNP - Security (FBI) and health (Medical screening).

Regarding FBI fingerprints I got them in 3 weeks and I'll be getting my home police certificate at the beginning of January.
Also Since I also lived in Mexico for almost a year I'll need to get those... however the CIC site specifically says that for Mexico we will get instructions of how to get those documents...

As far as the other documents... since we already sent copies of the CIC forms to Alberta then we do not need to work on that... maybe some small adjustments though :)
You definitely will need to get birth, marriage certificates for you and your dependents, copy of passport, visa, police certificates, proof of funds, photos, fee payment and I believe that's all we need...
BTW we also have to attach AINP Nomination that was sent to us, and there is also an red post-it that we need to glue on the envelop.

BTW there is also a confirmation letter you have to fax or mail to Alberta ASAP... it states before 30 days though.... if you do not do that then your nomination will be canceled.. or at least is what is says in the nomination package...

I hope it helps

Ingegarcia and how about medicals? do you have to wait for them to ask you for those or they already ask you for the medicals?

I am just getting the documents ready. I think I will submit my CIC kit in a day or two although I have not received my Police certificates yet. I think we can send Police certificates once we get a file number.

When I was applying for FSW, through my lawyer, he had told me not to include police certificates with the application and asked me to send them later once I get a file number (as the have an expiry date). I am a bit confused here.
