There is no limited time to apply for AINP once you get the pre-assessment approved. At least mine didn't say anything.
The 6 months (180 days), or 5 monhs (someone got less than 6 months apparently) is to apply for PR (CIC), after you get approved for PNP.

Inge:

You're right - my mistake in assuming expiration on the pre-assessment. I got confused with so many things.

I'm getting my diploma, etc certified and will send it fedex in 2 days - hope they process it soon.

Hi yrinaldy
As far as I know the expiration is set to the Provincial Nomination not to the pre-assessment. Once you are nominated you have roughly 6 months to apply to CIC or at least that is what it says in the Alberta website below

http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrate/pnpcandidatefaq.html#13

BTW I haven't found anything rgarding expiration on the pre-assessment ...

Guys:

I just received an invitation to apply for AINP (package in the mail w/ green adhesive label) after I sent my pre-assessment on Sept 22 - so roughly, take 5 weeks for pre-assessment to be approved.

It doesn't say it'll expire by 180 days though...

I'll keep you guys posted in the approval timeline.

Am I still eligible to apply.

Yes, i guess you are eligible. Just list your duties on a paper and also add the NOC code for which you are applying and how your duties match to that occupation under pressure list.

I had the same situation. My job title is Management Analyst but my duties match as Marketing manager, so i sent in for pre assessment. Still waiting for approval.

That was very quick seljem. Under which occupation code did you apply?

Did they sent you an email before you recieve your package that your assessment has been approved?

Hi all,
just a quick update: I got a call from the PNP office, they wanted a more recent copy of my pay stub. I took the chance to ask the official about progress on my case, and she said that they were about to take a decision and I should hear from them in the next couple of weeks at the latest. I'll let you know.....

What stage are you in? And what reason are they asking recent pay stubs for?

I'm at the final stage of the Alberta PNP process, my application was acknowledged on August 26th, 2008.

I had submitted my pay stub with my original PNP application but they wanted something more recent.

I applied for the pre-assessment on June 5th, but I delayed for 2-3 weeks after I got the invitation to apply before I submitted the application.

I hope you have a job but just for curiousity what would you give instead of pay stub if you are not currently working.. I'm asking this b/c my friend has this situation. He laid off in sep and he submitted his recent pay stub for his pre assessment.
Now he applied for second stage PNP in Nov. they might ask the same Q to provide recent pay stub. Any solution for this query?
seeking help from Guru.
thanks

I'm sorry to hear about your friend.
Unfortunately I can't think of anything he/she will produce in place of a recent pay stub. Maybe just pray and hope they don't ask, or hope he/she has another job by the time they ask.

Based on your date of acknowledgement and couple of weeks wait for final decision, it seems that AINP approval takes around three months. Folks, Keep posting for AINP approved cases.
