Hi all,

I have a question on behalf of my friend:

She graduated a few months back and applied for a post-grad work permit within 90 days (November, 2015).
It hasn't arrived yet.

She had to leave the country for a few weeks and when she returned she was told she would have to enter the country as a visitor.
Did she lose her implied status when she left the country?

As a visitor waiting on her pgwp, she's not allowed to work or even volunteer.

Could someone please confirm whether she's still under implied status or not?

Thank you~

yes i think, if you are on implied status and leave the country you lose your implied status. you will be able to confirm it under "implied status" on cic website

Yes, you lose implied status when you leave Canada.

CIC provides this info on their website. If you leave Canada while on implied status, you loose that status, unfortunately.
