Hey Everyone,
I have applied for PR for my husband and we just got a reply saying that PR Is not approved because they i have provided “limited evidence of preparations” of my plans to move back to Canada, although we have sent them a frieght quotation, home rentals we were thinking of and contacted, a msc program in a uni which I was interested in and wanted to enroll once moving there. We provided financial evidence that we can purchase a house once we are settled down based on the area we decide to live in perminantly. Basically we covered all points which we can cover. The weak thing in my file is that I haven’t been to canada since 2005 (My family left Canada and I was a child). How can I prove to them that my husband and I are serious about moving back? We only have one month. I will provide them with screenshots of my conversations with my friends in Canada discussing moving back, and I will register with Canadian job bank. Anything else I can do?

Can you little bit elaborate about the details of your PR application? is it a family sponsorship? "I guess that you are the sponsor and you have PR and living in Canada already." if so, did your husband ever visited you? you can always defend your application with email conversations, ofcourse.

Given that you haven't been back to Canada for over 10 years I would assume they are looking to see whether you and your husband have at least come to Canada on a "scouting" trip to make sure you want to live here. Especially since you left as a child.

Get letters from family/friends confirming your intent to move. Show proof of tying up your life wherever you are, i.e. a letter from your employer confirming you gave notice, transferring money/assets to Canada, selling a house if you own it or giving notice for a rental.

I was in a similar position to you, not having lived in Canada since I was a teenager (40 years ago!).

BUT, I had records of a lot of trips back (once every two years or so) and included signed letters from Canadian friends and relatives and my financial planner saying that I had always talked of moving back and my financial plans to do so. I suspect that is what you are missing (mine got approved without further question).

Yes. Sorry. I had mentioned in it in the end. So I’m the Sponsor for spouse sponsorship and we live abroad and never been to Canada together (it would be extremely difficult for my husband to get a visit visa so we decided to just wait for pr.
I have some whatsapp screenshots with friends asking about uni programs they would recommend and areas to live in. Should I ask them to write and sign a letter stating that we had discussed this over the phone previously? I’m also pregnant and due very soon. Can this help in anyway?

Your pregnancy won't make any difference. Get whatever you can signed by others to say you have spoken to them about your plans. If you have not already done so, you need to write out your 'game plan' for your move back (and if you have already sent this, then elaborate in greater detail.

So, If you get approval, what will you do and when in prep for your move? When / how will you sell your house or leave your rental in the UK? How will you go about liquidating your UK assets and moving them to Canada? When will you be flying out and why? Where do you intend to live when you get there and why? Who will you stay with immediately you land and for how long? How much money do you have saved? How will you look for a job? What will your husband do / when and how?

Basically, your fully thought out plan for a move from receipt of approval to say 1 year after landing in Canada as detailed as you can make it and with supporting letters / emails / screen shots etc.

Sometimes, CIC challenge your plan to return to elicit more detail so you can convince them.

Thankyou that's helpful..asked friends to provide 3 letters stating that they will accommodate me in required, or that we have discussed our plans together and explained my case...In the letter cic sent they said to reply within 30 days to address above which is a physical address in the UK (but there's also we website)...so they expect us to send all these by mail?
