Congratulations :) :) :)

at which port did you land and how did it go?

best wishes

Thanks :)

I drove through the Osoyoos/Oroville border crossing and it went very smoothly.

I was told I wouldn't need ESTA but would get an administrative (?) refusal. When I arrived at the US border control he advised me to pay $6 each for a 90 day ESTA. This would allow me to wither enter the US or turn around straight away and re-enter Canada. To not take this option would mean a wait of ~2.5 for paperwork, so I took the ESTA option. the immigration officer went through the card with me and told me what to write fro things like port of entry, address im US etc - very helpful. We went for lunch and headed straight back for the border.

The immigration officer on the Canadian border asked a few questions (nothing tricky or intrusive) and asked us to wait while our paperwork was processed. Within 10 minutes it was done.

Luckily for us it was very quiet both ways so that made a huge difference.

I have a question about when they send for PR? My wife had her interview and everything is approved for her to come to Canada.
But when we log in on the immigration site with her ID it keeps saying that they sent request November 10th,but nothing has be sent
to her as of yet? Why would they post that when its not true? She did email them about 8 days ago and no answer. Anyone know if
that is the normal for them to say they sent something and not send it yet? She lives in Bahrain.

Thank you

Hi

Is it correct that you cannot apply for a visit visa after applying for immigration ?

E.g - Applying for Immigration on Dec'15 & want to go on a visit during Jun-Jul'16 ?

Good luck Lamis! Make sure you have your warm clothes for when you land :D

check the letter where they requested to submit the passport, if ADVO yes you can submit your pass to VAC turkey, they will arrange passport submission and return.
