hi,

did you send the application directly to abudhabi? or you sent it to cic centre canada? different people are giving different ideas and i'm confused. if you send it to abudhabi, can you please mention the address here? and if sent it to canada, please provide the address as well.
how much fee you paid along with the application? which forms you used? please help me by guiding me with your recent experience. would appreciated that a lot. looking forward, God bless.

mobinkan,
I highly suggest you start by looking at this thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/spousal-sponsorship-t46995.0.html . There are a lot of things to consider, documents to submit, fees to pay. Not very complicated just cumbersome, take your time.. And when you think you are ready to send everything in, go over your documents again, and again and again.. Good luck.

I checked my ecas today and they updated the medical.
We did our medical right after we got approved . There was no update for 2 month . Today finally got updated. I hope to see PPR soon

I was just thinking..is the requirement for the sponsor to cancel their visa founded somewhere in law? I know people who have received PR through other classes...and all they had to do was fly to Canada (land) then they resumed their life in the UAE so they could at least finish their contract. Obviously they need to be cognizant of thr the residency requirements. I find it ironic that one is expected to wait with such great uncertainty...yet when the PPR is finally made there is no flexibility on their part. Interesting. Might be something worth looking into...

My wife didn't get a PPR yet, but it's usually done via email
