Hello everyone....finally after a long wait...got PPR yesterday and sent my passport today thru Aramex....

Hi Lamis. What did your relatives need in order to be able to get it? I think I'm afraid for my husband to ask his relatives in Syria to try and obtain this given the situation there.

Did they just need a copy of the Syrian ID?

I hope CIC realises that this is not an option for everyone

Congratulations on your PPR. Could you share your complete timeline. I believe its a good sign that January applications have started getting PPR and people who have applied in the same time should expect a PPR soon if there are no red flag.

So you didn't send your passport thru VFS. we got email for passport request where they mentioned to submit passport at VAC. i hope n pray it comes back in reasonable time after visa stamping as i see some people are waiting for more than a month.

I sent it thru Aramex. There is an option in the letter. I chose to send it thru aramex, yeah i hope there is no delay in that. In your passport request did they mention until when the visa is valid? Mine is valid until 12 dec only i hope that they will send the passport back within this month only as i need to give 2 months notice in my company

I was not talking about other documents before PPR.. I meant in the PPR itself, did they only request your passport ? Can you please copy paste the PPR email ?

I have a question do you think there will be a delay because i forgot to submit my old passport? there is no other stamps in my old passport aside from when i travel back home. My UAE visa and other stamps is in my new passport which i sent

My prayers have been answered. I just received an email from the Amman VO that my husband's application was transferred to the Abu Dhabi VO. I wonder if it has anything to do with Amman needing resources to process refugees? I know I'm being looked after. Al hamdulillah.

I guess we should be put back onto the ADVO spreadsheet

I'm in the process of completing a Sponsorship application for my wife, and I have a question :

My wife has a Syrian Passport, a residency (Iqama) in Saudi , and her parents are in Saudi. But she's currently studying in Lebanon.
I don't want the application to be to sent to the Canadian Embassy in Lebanon, but rather to ADVO.

Apparently, there was a question in IMM0008 that asks : which Immigration office do you want your application to be processed at (Question N. 04).
In the IMM0008 that i downloaded this question doesn't exist anymore

Is there any way for me to specify the VO I want our application to go to ? if not, are there any advices as to how to increase the chances of having it sent to AD and not Lebanon ?

Hello and welcome to this forum
Unfortunately you can not choose which visa office your application is going to be processed at.
But it looks like most people who live or have residency in the GCC will get there application transferred to the ADVO except for Pakistani citizens where their applications are being processed by the London VO

Hi,
no they haven't mention anything about visa expiry but i believe mine is going to expire in the last week of November as my medicals expiry date is 25Nov. that's why i am worried about timely delivery of passport.
my file is processed in London visa office, i haven't received any letter it was just an email saying submit your passport at your nearest VFS center. tey haven't asked about any pic as well.
i hope n pray it goes well.
