Salaam brother good to hear from you. Thanks for the encouraging words. Lack of transperacy in this whole process is very frustrating if not the most frustrating part. According to them(SA email), my file has been transferred to ADVO 4 months ago, no word since then. Even if they tell us, yes we got your file, and now we are doing this.. So simple, so easy, and most definetly can be automated, but.. On a more positive side I'm planning a trip for next month to see my wife for 2 weeks.. Also, ordered notes this morning... Take care brother..

Walikum Salam brother - sorry for late reply. We are expecting our second kid anytime Insha'Allah as a result just running around. Notes is the only way to see what is going on exactly with a case. Although it takes some time to order but at least it gives you a sense of Idea.

I applied for this doc on Nov 2014, and till now i did not receive any response from by embassy.
Probably, I wont.

I included the explanation to tell them that i wont b able to provide them with this doc. Ever.
But nevertheless, they asked for it.

I will try another time, this time from inside Syria.
I cant begin to describe how dangerous this will be on my relative whose do it for me.
I hope they will waive it, since i gave them police certificates from Dubai and Malaysia.

My husband got his police clearance from syria.. We asked our relatives to do it .. We got it in november 2014 and we sent it with the application.. Im hoping they wont ask for another one..

Haldasti i applied on dec 22 2014, got sa approval in march 2015. Now in process meds were done in sep last year :)

If they did not mention a special instruction in obtaining saudi police clearance in any of their correspondence, maybe it's safe to say that you could take the way Lamis' husband did.. send email to ADVO and ask for the request letter for Saudi Police Clearance.

I guess that will be my best option . I already have sent an email to the visa office processing the application. I have not heard anything back at the moment . I will wait and see what the future holds. I thought by sending the police clearance certificate in early stage in the process, it would eliminate any delays in the process .

Hi Lamis. What did your relatives need in order to be able to get it? I think I'm afraid for my husband to ask his relatives in Syria to try and obtain this given the situation there.

Did they just need a copy of the Syrian ID?

I hope CIC realises that this is not an option for everyone :(

Hi ev.one

I checked with the Syrian Embassy for the Police Clearance certificate. turns out it is ready, but they did not bother to call.

So wonderful to hear that it can be processed there and not risk our family's lives back in Syria. Al hamdulillah :)

Hi kathkath,

Congratulations on your PPR. Could you share your complete timeline. I believe its a good sign that January applications have started getting PPR and people who have applied in the same time should expect a PPR soon if there are no red flag.

Congratulations,

So you didn't send your passport thru VFS. we got email for passport request where they mentioned to submit passport at VAC. i hope n pray it comes back in reasonable time after visa stamping as i see some people are waiting for more than a month.
