Hello ziadelbaghdadi, welcome to the thread.

I do not see a particular reason why one would need a Lawer/Consultant if their case is straight forward without any complications. I would hire a Lawyer/Consultant only if I had criminal records or have a super complicated case. Also to keep in mind, the Lawyer/Consultant cannot make the case go faster, as it is all upto the Immigration Officer.

If I were in your shoes I would do some research on how to colloect all the necessary documents, esp proof of relationship. A well documented and presented application is much preferred, you could also add a compelling Cover Letter along with the application.

Thanks impresso
I was thinking the same myself. As for proof of relationship well that is covered :) we have been married for 12 years..

anyways, did you apply yourself through abu dhabi for the spouse sponsorship? How was that experience? any advice?

Hi all. I just received SA as of July 30 :)

Although we requested that our application be sent to Abu Dhabi, it is being sent to Amman. So I guess we have a longer wait. Oh well. More time to explore the area while we wait.

I just wanted to thank everyone on this thread for your support. I hope your applications are processed quickly.

Insha'allah ours will go quickly.

That's great you have to go before time along with original passport and medical request from CIC, Submit your passport at reception they will prepare your file later on you will go upstairs where you have to give urine sample, blood sample and x-ray with general checkup like eye test, check height wight by nurse after this stage Dr. Rita or any other panel doctor will check you physically and ask you about your medical history and now your medical has been finished. Its time to pay your medical fees at cash counter and wait for e-receipt which you will received from reception, medical centre will inform you over phone about your result and they will directly update your medical result to CIC which will be update on ECAS.

Thats great - We applied via a lawyer ( as my parents were convinced that this way will speed up the process ) , but if your case is straight forward I wouldn't bother. My only advise is do not give CIC a chance to ask you back any thing for further clarification. Ours took a bit longer than expected and we just had to be patient.

I have been going through your posts and it has been of great help in preparing my documents. Thank you for such a great forum.

I have one question though for members living in Dubai, what did you use as postal code especially for form IMM 5669 question #12?

I have been living in Dubai for 21 years and have not encountered any postal codes, only P.O.Box.

Thanks
