Hello all,
The processing times posted per Visa office according to the website is updated quaterly, with the last update being May 20th. Anybody recalls, or has noticed the accuracy/legitimacy of these dates? In other words, is it wishfull thinking to expect an update this month?

Thank you Haldashti for your encouraging words. I guess you can now remove me from the ADVO spreadsheet.

Unfortunately there isn't really an active spreadsheet for Amman although dedoz and I are trying to build an updated one.

My application is in ADVO and its status changed to In Process today. Can you all help me understand what this status means and how much time it will take more for them to make a decision? and if everything is OK then time taken for a passport request?

Hello Maverick27, Have a look at the spreadsheet(URL in my signature), hard to tell the correlation between the update to the actual PPR, if anything it's a positive sign... Please share with us your timeline, so it can be added to our ADVO spreadsheet, keep us posted. Good luck.

Application sent: 9th March 2015
SA: 9th May 2015 (received the mail on 13th May saying its transferred to ADVO)
Medicals received: 9th March 2015 (done upfront)
Application status changed to In Process: 9th August 2015

One more thing, Haldashti are you based out of Kuwait? I am too, lets keep in touch!

Hello all. I am a pakistani citizen and a PR of canada. I am getting married to my fiance in pakistan. But she resides in UAE with her parents. Therefore she is on a resident visa through her parents. So after our marriage she will go back to abu dhabi with her parents and apply for immigraation. My question is will her uae visa be affected after our marriage

Hi Sarim. Done(spreadsheet). Don't be discouraged regarding the Visa office. I've reviewed a few spreadsheets, and read numerous threads on different forums, those times are all over the place. Hang in there and good luck.

Can we do it now and submit it directly to the embassy or we should wait until they request it.

You can submit now and wait till the additional documents request. However, the medicals can't be sent to the embassy directly. The hospital will ask for the (UCI- unique client identifier) which u'll receive in the first Acknowledgement letter.

I did the medicals before hand. to make sure my entire application is complete and to avoid any delays.

My advice is: wait untill you are ready to send the documents, do the medical, and put a copy in the package. it's validity is one year, which is the estimated time to process ur application.

Frustrting not knowing were things are at. I would hate to think that our applictions haven't been even looked at yet..

I already have the UCI so i think i can do the medical now and it will be updated automatically to the file

unfortunately (or maybe not!!) we haven't heard any thing from ADVO. Not even they changed the status from received to in process..

cobwebs are all over my ECAS ... !

In my situation: we completed the police clearance before hand as well.

I hope they are processing it now, but as I heard from other members' experience, that ADVO is very lazy in updating ECAS.
