hi all
I am in the last stages of completing the forms for my spouse. I was hoping to get some help and clarifications from past applicants.

Birth certificate & Marriage certificate
Both documents are in Arabic. I had them translated and the English translation attested by Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Can I just submit a copy of this translation? or will I need an affidavit and certified true copy?
The translation also have the translators stamp which states they are sworn legal translator.

Dubai Police Certificate
We applied for the certificate through an mobile app. My spouse had to personally go to police station to confirm identity. The certificate was, however, emailed to my spouse. Will a printout of this be sufficient? Did anyone go through this process of online application before?

For any other copies - passport copy or national ID - is a notarized copy recommended?

hi well i am also new and still getting help on it. just want to share my experience with you. i got dubai police clearance online and they couriered me the police clearance certificate and didn't ask me to show up personally to confirm the identity. that police clearance cerificate consists my original photograph and stamp on it.

The guide says that all immigration forms and police certificate needs to be submitted in original. All other documents should be notarized. any document not in English or french must include a translation (which is also subject to notarization).

You need to fill the forms as per checklist and the guide specific to your country, and those forms that are in the checklist and you dint use them (for example use of representative, if you are not using any then you add this form to your package and write N/A on it) you write N/A and attach, this is what we did in our application and it went so smooth. yeah, actualy same documents we already submitted in CIC.. then next ADVO again requested to fill the forms and request proof of marriage.

How did you go about with the police certificate as well as other documents..

you can get original PCC from Dubai, other docs you need to get notarized, you may get attestation through your country's Embassy in UAE.

hi, i applied for spouse sponsorship in May 2013 when i was in pakistan....i came to dubai in december 2013....and i got re medical request in November 2014...i did my remedical last week here in dubai...and i have been told that i will be asked for passport soon....so my question is where would i submit my passport? i mean either in UAE or in Pakistan, Plus how long is it gonna take for the passport request and then back stamped with visa..besides that my immigration file is in UK office.
