Hey guyz a quick question from all tha ankowledge guys in here ....... my wife has sponsored my case from canada and I am in abu dhabi and was born here let me come straight to tha point as u guyz know by tga grace of ALLAH my case is almost at tha end of it's tunnel ....... it's my elder brothers wedding next week so my family wants my wife to attend it and me as well ..... so would that bring anykind of delays in my case ? Any problem with it if my wife comes here and I hope INSHALLAH at tha end of this month ill get tha PPR and then we both can land together back to canada ? N secondly should I inform of this action to ADVO ? or it's smooth if my wife comes here attend tha wedd8ng ceremony and stay here until PPR and thn we can go back together ? It's urgent plz answer tha issue ASAP ...... thanx

Short Vacation should not be a problem, a longer vacation may attract CBSA attention to ask further upon return to Canada. entry through Kiosk is simple and easy, but recommended to keep vacations short.

Hi Azaan,

It's fine for your wife to visit you and attend your brother's wedding. If at all, they may ask for proof that your sponsor is in Canada when they send you the PPR.

Not required. I visited my husband in Canada for a month and I didnt inform them at all.

Like I said, if they need any clarification they will write to you. Is your wife a Canadian Citizen?

yes she is a canadian passport holder !

Assalam-o-Alaikum, I am Canadian citizen and Insha Allah will be getting married to a Pakistan boy resident of Dubai for 8 years(work permit).

1. if marriage takes place in Pak sponsor application process time 32 month. (given on CIC website)
2. if marriage takes place in Dubai sponsor application process time 15 month. (given on CIC website)
3. Can i marry in Pak and sponsor from dubai office, what will be processing time 32 or 15 month.
4. last name change will cause any complication in sponsor application.
pl advise

It does not matter where you get married. Since he is Pakistani citizen so you can apply either in Pakistan or Abu Dhabi, it is all depends on you. We married in Pakistan and selected Abu Dhabi as our Visa Office.

Regarding last name change, I believe if you change then name change certificate is required (this is what we believe) so you can change the name after he got the PR. This is what we are going to do to be honest

Guys if you get your passports back do tell. Embassy wont give me any info. No reply on email either.

If he's a resident of Dubai, UAE then his application would certainly be processed at ADVO, irrespective of where the marriage takes place.

DM on 28th October & till today no sign of any email from ADVO advising what was the 'decision'.
And btw, I'd sent them an email yesterday.
