i will just have the PR soon , so i have to sponsor her while i am in Canada , but the processing time can be 18 months . that why i was asking it is very annoying to leave your wife and son for 18 month
,i guess they will not allow for visit visa during the processing time
I know i totally understand. .its pretty insane and disturbing :( but we are left with no choices u see.....
Well yea u can only sponsor them while living in canada till u get ur passport

Finally I have sent my passport to Abu Dhabi yesterday. I have waited months to get the PPR but waiting 10-15 days looks difficult... not sure if every one has a same situation.

Those who are sending Passport from Saudi Arabia(Aramex), ask Aramex to attached the return airway bill. They refused to gave it to me but once I talked to them and explained them the whole scenario then they gave that. I was surprised why he initially refused.

I remember ABSA has faced the same situation when sending from Jeddah (Aramex) and later ASBA have to use DHL so I would say try to convince the guy. I would say the front desk officer in Khobar office is good... if you are in Dammam (I can help you ) :)

I am glad to hear that you managed to send your passport through Aramex!

They refused to even send my passport let alone talk about Return AWB. So I had to use DHL and without Return AWB. I emailed Abu Dhabi just in case too.

I guess the only thing I didn't try was that to speak to the manager at Aramex, Jeddah. Oh well, what's done, is done.

Even from Abu Dhabi Aramex did not include return AWB, as the guy said we used to send it by ADVO uses a new AWB every time on their own. There is another option of enclosing a C4 size self addressed envelop.
ASBA hope you received your passports by now.

No, I have not heard back from them. I haven't gotten my passport back yet, but following the DHL tracking number, my passport was received by ADVO the next morning.

So, passport was sent afternoon of the 27th Oct, received by ADVO on 28th Oct in the morning. With 10 working days added for processing, it becomes the 11th of Nov. If I don't get it back by the 16th of Nov, then I can start worrying.

Yes they asked to cancel it and give proof of final exit which we did the very next day. So now I have given them a one way ticket proof along with ofcourse the final exit. Which is why I think the ecas today showed decision made, cuz we gave the proofs and they hopefully stamped his passport and itll be on its way back!!
hi i am working in KSA too just worried what will be the procedure when abu dhabi asked us to cancel our resident permit i.e iqama and what proof i can sent to them and do they asked to cancel it with PPR or they ask separately?
thanks

Well, I don't know about KSA but in Kuwait if you get your residence cancelled you are given a paper ( NOC ) from the Ministry. You can send a copy of this NOC + your resignation ( with acceptance from your company ) etc to CIC. CIC would ask you to fill a form detailing the dates on which you intend to move to Canada for good and based upon that they would stamp the Visa or issue a COPR.

Here when we cancelled mine, we were given the paper/NOC which we printed and sent to CIC along with an extra proof of a one way ticket to Canada. But my husband is the applicant and he was not asked to cancel just to give an entry before the 11th of December. From what I know they mostly ask the sponsor to cancel, but in some cases they have asked the applicant as well.
