Hi to All,

I am little confused may be same body can help, indeed i have already applied sponsorship for my wife on May 21, we both live in Saudi Arabia, now my contract will end last week of 1st week of December, so i have to go back to Canada and she has to go back to Pakistan so if in between application is not processed then i dont know what we have to do,shall we have to ask them to transfer file to Islamabad or is it ok if she stays in pakistan while it will be processed in ABU DHABI office.

Hello mech1090,

A few questions for you :
-Did you apply as an outland or an inland sponsorship ?
-What is the residency status and expiry date of your spouse's visa in KSA
- Who is the visa sponsored under ?
- Is she working or studying at the moment ?

Just a side note - lets hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Really thanks for the response,
Did you apply as an outland or an inland sponsorship ? Applied as outland
-What is the residency status and expiry date of your spouse's visa in KSA , she is leaving as dependent on my iqama and she has to leave the kingdom before or with me.
- Who is the visa sponsored under ? As dependent under my sponsorship
- Is she working or studying at the moment ? Not working only dependent.

Indeed i applied for ABU DHABI office only due to short processing time.

Thanks!

Exactly... Still long way to go. :'( more days to enjoy the sunny Dubai :D

Praying interview will be waived...

Hello mech1090,

I believe with an outland sponsorship, you have also indicated that you are living out side of Canada and that you will return back with your spouse, once application is approved. Also from what I understand, you will not be able to extend your stay in KSA without an extension of your contract .

My wife and I were in a similar situation, but she was sponsored under her father - and since I dont work in Dubai we never changed that. Luckly we were able to get an extension for her visa till next September. I am quite positive that CIC takes into consideration the residency of the applicant, but it does not guarantee that your application will be approved.

Moving your file to Islamabad is going to cause some delay in application - also note that all application going/processing in Islamabad is now being processed in London, which has a shorter time frame.

I would suggest for you the following

- Look into Visa Options where your wife can stay in KSA ( e.g Employment Visa under her name )
- Post a your question on a separate thread where Super Senior Members can advise on legality of the situation, if you dont move the file to Islamabad
- Informing the CIC , with a letter and explaining the situation might be a good idea, just not sure if they will respond.

Do let me know your thoughts.

Dont be afraid of the interview - its just a matter of a few questions to see if your case is genuine.

I def think ZZW is also right about processing being slow in ADVO , due to Ramadan - From what I know in UAE, most offices close by 2pm during Ramadan, so basically half day work day !

Is this true :o omg
