i see, that makes me feel better, i guess cancelling golf visa must have not been something that was important to them on our case. Do you know how much time they will give you to prepare for coming to Canada when they issue the visa and also are they giving you the PR when they return your passport or is it just a visa to come to Canada???

our letter already states that the PR visa my husband is getting will be valid till feb 2015.
so that means he has untill then to enter canada.
however we have friends who also JUST recieved their request for passport and they have only till JULY 2014.
so i think its case by case.

i didnt get anything since 1 sep last year ,, today i got a mail saying the following:


We are pleased to inform you that your application is nearing finalization. Attached is a letter indicating the documents required to finalize your application. Please read the document carefully.

These documents/ information must be submitted within thirty (30) days from the date of this e-mail

In the additional document request they only asked for passport and 3 photos that's all to be submitted either by person to the embassy in abu dhabi or via aramex,

today only it was changed to in process then disicion made in ecase

All courier companies have Visa package services available but Aramex might be cheaper. I know DHL charges a lot of money for its VisaPak service and so do the TNT Skypak. These courier companies would themselves do the needful i.e. the return airway bill & addresses etc. hence you don't need to worry.

Thanks everyone. For the gulf visa cancellation issue. They only ask it for the SPONSOR, not the main applicant. For the main applicant they give a timeline for pr visa validity. It is also written in the letter that to maintain the pr status the person has to stay in canada for 730 days in five years and it does NOT have to be consecutive days.
