Welcome to the group ketocdn! I myself have been a silent follower as well; My husband and i applied for his sponsorship Nov 2013 and just got PPR on Apr 7th, 2014. We sent in our docs, whose receipt was confirmed by Aramex on the 10th of April, 2014. It has been 10 days already and I'm getting worried, as our ecas changed to in process, just after receiving PPR. I've noticed on the forums people generally get their PPs back pretty soon if the entire processing time is short. PPR was totally unexpected, but I've gone from thrilled to terrified now.

Just wanted to give you an update, I'm fairly early into the process..

If JenPin, who I assume is in charge of the spreadsheet, can update it, I'd appreciate it.

I got my stage 1 AOR on 17th April 2014, and my Sponsorship approval today, 22nd April 2014.

For the stage 2 AOR, I have a question, does the Abu Dhabi office always send a stage 2 AOR?
If so, is this sent to the applicant, or the sponsor, or both?

Also, roughly how long after SA does the stage 2 AOR take, if Abu Dhabi sends out AORs that is..?

If you see the sheet, most of the applicants have received an AOR alongwith the Additional Documents Request (ADR) after about 2.5 to 3 months of SA. The AOR is sent to the applicant only.

Whenever a new applicant posts on the thread, the first thing I ask for is their timeline. ;D
Before anybody else thinks I am obsessed with the forum and the sheet, let me explain that its good to know that there are other applicants who have applied and are all waiting for the process to end asap. When others get an update I reassure myself that ADVO is working and processing the applications and next could be my turn.

Bit scared about something since I think I've made a mistake. Wondering if anyone could help me out here.

In the application that I sent out, for some stupid reason I assumed that they wanted the ORIGINAL birth certificate of my wife. I'm referring IMM 3911, Middle East and Central Asia.
Now that I read it, it says they'd want a photocopy, and that the only originals they'd want would be the forms and police certificate.


Now I'm just worried about 2 things.

1) Would the fact that I sent an original birth certificate of hers instead of a photocopy be an issue in regards to the application?
2) More importantly, would they send back the originals?! I've heard they don't always send back the documents and proof, but this is an original birth certificate, and it is really important and almost impossible to make another one.

I don't even know if I can contact the Abu Dhabi Visa Office this early since I just got my sponsorship approval yesterday.
I just hope they don't lose the original birth certificate and that we get it back otherwise my wife will kill me!!

Problem is that if her Birth Certificate is not in English or translated to English, then you will probably need to get that done. Without the original i don't know how you will do that???.
I would try and contact Abu Dhabi office and ask what to do???? or CIC Canada.
