My wife went to request for medical but all clinics asked her to get a request letter from the Embassy in Abu Dhabi. We submitted the application without meds and I got the Sponsorship approval already and the file has been transferred to the abu dhabi VO.

We contact the VO to request the letter but nothing fruitful has come through this communication. Just want to know has anyone faced the same dilemma and how they sort it out. Did the clinics provide you medical results without these requests?

2 things... first, for medical, they will ask u to transfer additional documents at some point... when they do, they should be providing you with the forms... second, the approved clinics must have this form with them in any case... that's why they are 'APPROVED' by CIC so that they comply and assist with the clients (in this case you)... this medical form is called the 'appendix C'... however, here's the link to the form... http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/dmp-handbook/pdf/AppendixC_e.pdf

hope this helps...

also go to this link for further details on the process... http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/dmp-handbook/appendix-02.asp

all i can say now is that you have just applied for the visa... it will take some time until they request for additional info etc. you gotta make sure to check your emails and your phones constantly in check... i have seen couple of cases who missed attempted request/communication for the embassy that costed them to wait for 6 even 8 months addition to their normal times... good luck and all the best...

hello b0465682

just keep your patience, we have the same situation, we submitted our application without medical as I believe before that medical request shall come from the VO. And indeed yes, yesterday I got an email from VO along with the form IMM1017 with my complete details on it :) I got medical request from them after 6months from the day we submitted our application, you can check on my timeline.

I suggest keep on praying and trust to the Lord, everything will happen in the right time. Be positive God will guide us on this journey.

hello. just want to clarify about the submission of the passport. is it true that the sponsored person needs to cancel his/her residency/working visa here before they will give you the visa? pls clarify :)

Yes you are right, i received recently e-mail from ADO asking for additional documents and in one paragraph they mentioned that Gulf residency should be cancelled prior visa issuance.

You would be asked to cancel your residency only prior visa issuance.

For me and frankly speaking, i am not ready to cancel my Gulf residency, so I might withdraw the application and apply later but not yet made a final decision.

oh wow... but how long do they take to issue the CA visa? because i can only stay in Qatar for 3/5 days tops until they start charging for each day of stay widout RP... what i was thinking is, can i go back to my country of origin after cancelling my RP? and send my passport from there? cause tht's the only way it makes sense to me...

It doesn't make sense. I hope somebody from this forum who already got their visas clarify or give us any ideas on what to do. Now this gives me more headache!
