Hello,
To those whom submitted their passports to the embassy. Do you get an acknowledgment, update, info, etc.. that the passport is in their position, etc.. Has anybody gotten their processed passport back recently? If so, please share what method was used and how long it took. Several members have submitted their passports within the last month or so, but I haven't seen/heard/read of any that received their passport recently. Thanks.

No acknowledgement from ADVO that they have the passport, only notification from the courier.
Until now i havent receive my passport back it's been three weeks now and i dont know what is happening

Don't worry your passport will come back after 6 weeks, so be patience and pray for rest of people who is waiting for thier PPR. :

still no update on your passport? i am also so worried and thinking to go to advo on this Wednesday. for me its been 28 days. but i received email from advo which i posted earlier where they mentioned that due to huge inflow it is taking time.

No update yet. I sent an email but no reply, iam going there on Wednesday as well to check with them. This is just so stressful

I was going thru the "Residency Questionnaire IMM 3911 E" for applicants of Gulf countries, and I'd appreciate your feedback about your answers to the question #8 about cancelling "Gulf residence visa". What can we answer if not willing to cancel Gulf Visa at least for the first year after obtaining Canada PR Visa (if allowed to do do). Answering No, would it be a killing to obtain the PR Visa ?

8)Will you, the principal applicant, cancel your Gulf residence visa?

If there was any doubt about the visa, they would not have asked for your passport. They would not issue a visa nor request the passport if a decision was not made.
Visa is ready, they need to attach it to the passport, no worries in this regard.. Good luck.

Thanks haldashti, i have to visit advo on Wednesday as my residency status has been finished and i have to pay fine on overstay which i have communicated to advo and they replied me which i have posted earlier. hoping n praying to hear something by tomorrow otherwise i have to go n see.

VO is asking from principal applicant about the cancellation of visa. just write current situation. if visa is not canceled just write i m still working in country and cant work without visa (exact reason).
this is not a big issue, VO just want to check ur intention to lmove to canada instead of continue staying in GCC.

Another member posted while back . it could take 1month or month and half to get your passport back.
we could only be patient. CIC are known to take their time and drive us crazy .
