Hi Impresso, you mentioned "give or take a few days for the Mail to Arrive", is this for the applicant or the sponsor? I noticed on-line they didn't list my wife's complete address, but I was waiting Insha'Allah when the file gets to ADVO before we contact them, to correct that. Thanks for the detailed answer. And good luck.Impresso said:Yes you can consider that , give or take a few days for the Mail to Arrive - the reason I say is in my notes the last touch was in Mississauga on 23 June 2014 and surprising enough App Rec'd by ADVO on 29 June 2014, but they only updated the file on 7th July 2014. Believe it takes them some time to go through the file itself to request for any additional documents if they are not satisfied.
Security Clearance is broken down into two 1) The Criminality Check and 2) Security Clearance which allows the officer to determine if the applicant is safe for Canadian Soil and does not pose any threat to the country.
Criminality Check is based on the police clearance certificates you provide which is usually verified by the local police department and additional police clearance is required if the applicant resided in another country for longer than 6 months in the last 10 Years if I am not mistaken. These verification do take a little longer if the local police department are not quick enough to reply and it varies from country to country, some are quick some are slow.
The Security Clearance is the fun part and is not in ADVO hands - They have to reach out to various organisations to get a go ahead for the applicant and the list of organisation is also in accordance to/not limited to Where you reside , your country of birth , your past visited countries , your relationship and it is quite intense and takes the most time. This is sort of the same security clearance they do when you are at the airport and they feel like something is up with your name and they make you sit for a few hours - this is what they verify. Once all the agencies/organisations come back giving a green light - you are good to go.
It is very possible to do it in within a day but due to the large number of applicants coming into ADVO , we can certainly expect some delays.
We had this discussion on this new column not to long ago and how comfortable some of the members were in disclosing country of residence - we didn't get a huge response. But I am up for it as long as others on this thread are comfortable sharing the information.
What I meant was from the day of your Sponsorship Approval you can give or take a day or two to start counting the days it takes CIC to send the application to ADVO - In most cases I have seen they send the file within the same week of your Approval. You should be able to access the ECAS yourself and as your wife, you will need the File Number or both your UCI numbers.haldashti said:Hi Impresso, you mentioned "give or take a few days for the Mail to Arrive", is this for the applicant or the sponsor? Or maybe a department that is responsible for something, like background checks! just guessing here.Impresso said:WOW - Members assigned to "LJ03507" are Tulip Flower, Tamyboy, HanJay and Myself so far - I really hope that this "LJ03507" is an individual and not a group number. Any other members know who they are assigned to ?
Hi Impresso, The address can be changed on-line for the sponsor, but not the applicant. I talked to them this morning, and they said to wait until the file gets to ADVO, then email them with the request to change the address, even though, the entry(address) was made here in Canada. And the wait continues for all! Thanks again for your help.Impresso said:What I meant was from the day of your Sponsorship Approval you can give or take a day or two to start counting the days it takes CIC to send the application to ADVO - In most cases I have seen they send the file within the same week of your Approval. If I am not mistaken you should be able to change the address for correspondence on the ECAS as well. Let me know if you have any more questions.
I haven't requested my notes, but I wont be surprised if I have the same ID. I hope one day he or she just wakes up and takes our files all at once and issues the PPRImpresso said:WOW - Members assigned to "LJ03507" are Tulip Flower, Tamyboy, HanJay and Myself so far - I really hope that this "LJ03507" is an individual and not a group number. Thanks haldashti, SA comes via email but there is a letter as an attachment. Good luck to you, hope you will hear this week for your SAhaldashti said:Hi Zbaby. Glad to hear you got the SA. Writing them is a good idea, but I also suggest you/husband keep trying to call. I know how frustrating it is to call especially on Mondays, but from experience, it is possible to get through, try first thing in the morning, and/or end of day. Did they email you about the SA, or send you/husband a letter? We applied about 2 weeks after you, so awaiting anxiously.. Good luck.
Thanks Imresso, i can't see any reason to move my file to LVO except my luck. they are not able to answer on the phone that why our file has been sent to LVO so we are hoping to hear something in reply of our email (may be) now i am wondering what is the procedure to send passport from uae at the time of visa issuance and if there is interview required. i am simply pissed off from the current situationImpresso said:Mabrook on the SA - Would there be any possible reason why London VO ? Definitely give them a call, you have to get hold of someone and explain to them the situation. The processing time for London VO isn't as great as it used to be before.
London does that UAE applications but only for Start Up Visa and Self Employed Visa from UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia & Yemen - they also take Family Sponsorship from Pakistan. So I do not see a reason why they would sent it there. Do let us know.
OH I see - something new I learned today - but usually like you mentioned Address Entry is done here in CIChaldashti said:Hi Impresso, The address can be changed on-line for the sponsor, but not the applicant. As long as your Security and Criminality Check is Complete - A remedical request is usually to extend the time of your landing. If all things are in accordance they should be finalizing your application and issuing PPR. This in some cases has been about 3 Months give or take .ajwa said:Hi,anybody knows what will happen after medical re assessment?how long it takes to get ppr?
