You need to inform Abu Dhabi Visa Office of any change in mailing address, employment, etc. as this would obviously mean a change in contact details, etc. This is mandatory as they may refuse your application.

When did you file your application?

As far as notifying ADVO of a change of employment, do you have to inform them of a change of employment for the Sponsor and/or Applicant? If the applicant was unemployed and then found a job, do we have to notify ADVO of this change?

Asba when did you submit your application to advo?

i have submitted my additional docs in sept and i sent an email for a month for extension incase if my docs were not ready by sept.
so Advo sent an email of 30 days extension until oct 30, will my file be opened only on oct 30??? i visited uae in sept to get all the docs for my husband who is the applicant. now im back in canada in oct, back to work

My application was submit in December 2013. and its okay if it says application received mine said that too until about a month ago when it changed to in progress. JenPin's also just recently changed to in progress that too after she got her passport request. No one can practically determine when your file will be opened, each case varies, as long as you have submitted the documents within the given time your good to go. Good Luck!

I got 45 days to submit my additional documents I tried my best n submitted them as soon as I could tha day I gave tha documents to courier office and paid them to send tha papers ASAP n they said it will maximum take 7 days for da papers to reach there destination ........ but it took like 10 days cz of some delays ....... I was asked to submitt gha papers in 45 days but my papers were reached on 46th day ..... do u guyz think it' a major issue ? Or it can make delays in my case though ? Plz do help me wth my concern ...... thanx in advance

Though they receive your documents a couple of days after you send it, the file is normally updated on their system after the grace period granted to submit the documents as they put a re-visit date on the file once the ADR is sent out. I had ordered notes on my file and saw that they had updated my additional documents only after the 45th day.

You will have to wait for further correspondence from ADVO and also request notes in the meanwhile if you want to know the status of your application.

I dont think it is a problem. You shouldnt worry about it.

I know I've got the visa now that ADVO sent the PPR, but since Dec 2013 it was my obsession to check Ecas a 100 times everyday!!!

Back in the day when I landed in 2003, it would take about 6 - 8 weeks to get the PR. Now, according to CIC, its 162 days for Initial PR Card.
