I doubt that. The main reason they ask for the RPRF after initial review is so that your process is not delayed once they are ready to make the decision of issuing the visa, by paying it before hand it ensures that your process is not delayed further... It doesn't mean anything,, unfortunately. If you receive an email from them after 7 or 8 months that says "we are nearing finalization of your process and ask that you pay the RPRF" or something like that,,, at that time it means that they might be ready to issue the visa and will send you a PPR soon. I think that your background checks are still underway,,,, They asked me for a document request on the 4th of December and my husband and I sent everything to the embassy on Jan 6th....... I think when they ask for the documents the first time, that's when the actual processing starts of our application and before that its just on que to be reviewed by an Immigration officer... We have a few months before we can expect a PPR I think..... I Hope everyone gets good news soon INSHALLAH,, and hopefully this helps you..



Was this the first time they asked for documents? and when did you initially send your application to Mississauga.....

My question is when they ask for this kind of Documents and payment of (RPRF), is that means unformal approval to issue the visa ???? and next step is the passport request ????

Tsichi15, does your status on E-cas say in process???

mine is still showing as application received August 10th and Medical results have been received.....

My ecas doesn't change until now just as the as same like before. Application received aug.17 & medical results have been received. Even the application no. that they gave when they requested for documents, it still says, we cannot open this file no. because of the reason that they are not yet opening the file. Do you know your application file no. besides the Immigration no.?

Try send them inquiry vie email.They have this form from abu dhabi site, just fill all the necessary information they're asking then ask for the status of your application. Are u the sponsor or the main applicant? Because I've also tried to call the abu dhabi but no one answered, also directing me to mississauga if I have inquiries. That's y I've sent an email asking about my file, then I received an answer that they already have my papers but still not in process, and that was the time I also received an email for document request.

yes i sent an email, but this makes you soo mad that they cant cooperate sometimes, in ontario they give information, i am sponsoring my husband in dubai

They received my application on August 10th and they requested documents on the 4th of December...I sent them everything they asked on the 6th of January and than I sent them a few other documents afterwards... Mine still says application received August 10th and Medical results have been received....

Did any of you guys send an inquiry?

For my case, im in jeddah, my husband is sponsoring me. We had sent the application last may 16 then they received it on may 17. Aor was received on august. Then I sent an inquiry last november and received an answer immediately saying that they havemy file in abu dhabi then they requested for the documents. I've sent it on november 27, 2012 then still waiting for any update.

Najh I think you might be next to get PPR,, at least your status on E-cas says "In process" mine does't and a lot of other people on this forum....

Its just medical results received and application received..
