Hello Kmishal,

I was asked to submit the following documents on 8th April 2014, that is when I also received the AOR from ADVO:

- Proof that your Permanent Resident sponsor is currently residing in Canada and has been residing in Canada since the sponsorship was submitted. If your sponsor is currently residing in Canada, please provide copies of Canadian tax documents (Notice of Assessment (NOA), T1 and T4); three (3) recent pay stubs and any other document which proves that your sponsor is living in Canada.

- Complete copies of all pages of all passports/travel documents held by your sponsor since 2010. Please ensure that you include copies of all pages (including blank pages). All pages must be clearly legible.

ADVO would ask for additional documents only if it is required. Most of the members have shared the additional documents that were requested by ADVO and if you feel you have submitted all these in your initial application, then you shouldnt worry about it.

Thanks JenPin

Looks your sponsor is in Canada, I have applied as outland.

Yes I have submitted all these documents already.

One more thing, it may be funny but I just found that what is GCMS (and thanks to this forum again). Do you recommend me to apply for GCMS ? or if I do not do this it is fine ?

Hi guys,

sorry haven't been able to reply on the forum for quite some time now, but my status is exactly like of "Impresso" since I received email from CIC for SA approval on June 26.

I am out-land application and my wife (applicant) is here with me in Qatar, now my question is related to the following point, once in the future ADVO does come back to us:
- Proof that your Permanent Resident sponsor is currently residing in Canada and has been residing in Canada since the sponsorship was submitted. If your sponsor is currently residing in Canada, please provide copies of Canadian tax documents (Notice of Assessment (NOA), T1 and T4); three (3) recent pay stubs and any other document which proves that your sponsor is living in Canada.

Since I have been i Qatar since 2008 and not filed any tax return till date, so what would be my reply to them?

Looking to hear from some of the experienced members of the forum.

Is the spreadsheet an update one? I see a lot of them still pending . Is it because the people havent updated on their current status or they are yet to receive any updates?

Yes, mine is an outland application and my PR sponsor is currently residing in Canada.

In order to know the status of your application, you may apply for the notes as ADVO will not respond to any queries on your application if it is within the average processing time. It is up to you to order them or not.

Hi Ticallian,

If the sponsor is currently not residing in Canada, the sponsor would need to provide proof that he/she would return to Canada once the PR of the applicant is finalised. Many a times, the CIC requests for the exit stamp or cancellation of Gulf residency visa of the sponsor as proof that the sponsor will return to Canada. You could provide a letter of support from your family in Canada that you will be staying with them for a temporary period, relocation to Canada strategy. Some people also suggest the following :

1. Contact a real estate agent in Canada and inquire about housing - Print the email convo and include it in your application (it shows intent of return)
2. Apply for jobs in Canada - also print the emails you receive from prospective employers (even if it's a refusal)
3. If you have children, contact schools or kindergartens in Canada and print the emails you receive from them or the one's you sent

I hope other members may also comment so you may get more options. I am not aware of the taxes as well.

Good luck!

Def agree with JenPin and anxiouswife, that every application is different, reviewed by Individual Visa Officers. Each case is treated separately. Also, we never know if we are going to be asked for extra additional documents, even if CIC has already requested them before.
Totally agree with u all..those who all are waiting..I wish them all the luck

So I applied for my wife on 14th March 2014..
Received my Stage 1 AOR on 17th April, and Sponsorship Approval on 22nd April 2014..
But after that, we've not received ANYTHING from the Abu Dhabi office....
no AOR, no additional documents request.

I notice on the spreadsheet, someone who applied after us and got their sponsorship approval AFTER us, ZZW that is, has gotten stage 2 AOR and additional documents request on 5th August..
ZZW applied almost 2 weeks after us, and got their SA almost a month after us.. we've heard nothing from ADVO.

Should I be concerned? I'm really worried.
ZZW, if you don't mind me asking, did the additional documents request/Stage 2 AOR come to you via email or snailmail/post.??
Please advise..

Wife and I are both really worried..
Hey dont worry much.u will hear from them soon...
I got my emails from ADVO..there were 2 emails

Thanks JenPen for the feedback!

I am sure some members must have out land applications and living with the spouse abroad and have had this similar questions regarding the tax documents (Notice of Assessment (NOA), T1 and T4), what could we possible provide them with?

Looking to hear more feedback..

The sheet is updated based on the updates given by the members. I hope all members are active so we have a clear picture of the timelines of all the applicants.

Have you also filed an application under the family class? If yes, please share your timeline as you are not on the sheet.

Thanks!

teaya_ram, it is these background and police checks which take the longest in the process as they have to wait for external agencies like the police in the UAE and your home country to come back to them to verify the documents we have submitted. I have read in many blogs and forums that your file goes in a queue once they request background information and who knows how long our files stay in this queue.

I am visiting my husband next month. I am so excited about that :) Going to put this waiting frustration at the back of my mind for a while...

For sure. I feel like the end is very near, god willing. It's been 10 months since I've seen my husband :( and we are not able to visit each other, due to different circumstances. So I'm praying we are next :). Enjoy your visit with your husband, and not worrying about it helps the time pass more. Hope u hear from them soon as well :)
