Hi JenPin. Any update on your application ??? I wonder why it's taking so long in your case !!

Hi AMJ,

No update yet. Its been 7 months since we applied and I am getting anxiety attacks with each passing day. ???

I was thinking of ordering notes in August.

Any update on your application?

Hey JenPin,

Didn't they ask for another set of ADR from you recently or was it from anxiouswife ? According to your time line - you should be very close to getting a "decision made"

Hang in there - I am still waiting for an AOR from ADVO .. nothing yet :-X

They asked for an additional PCC from Anxiouswife.

I really hope that the next step is PPR. :'(

Dont worry in no time you will ! I just keep telling myself it is all a waiting game.

Anxiouswife used to be very active on this thread, haven't heard anything recently. Also I wonder if any of the earlier members like safa.umair and ASBA, who submitted their ADR, heard anything back from ADVO ?

Guys an idea if not having a job can get your applicaiton rejected for spousal? have any one of you here applied without having a job and got it approved?

I am still very actively reading all the posts here Impresso. Just that there hasn't really been any update so haven't written in.
My update now is that I will be receiving my India PCC by courier today. (The courier company just called me now and are going to deliver in the next 2 hours). My courier packet is ready to dispatch to ADVO once I receive the PCC.

Just so you all know, below is the request from ADVO:

In order to continue processing your application, we ask that you provide the following documents/information to assess your eligibility or admissibility:

POLICE CERTIFICATES
General Information: Police certificates are required for each country you have lived in for more than 6 months since your 18th
birthday. Police certificates must be issued after your last period of residence (i.e. more than 6 months) in that country. If your police certificate from your current country of residence is more than 12 months old, you must submit an updated police certificate issued within the last 6 months.

Your original updated police certificate from INDIA. If this document is written in a language other than English or French it must be translated in English or French by a professional translator. The original document must be attached with the translation. For information on how to obtain a police certificate from any country, please consult the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp.

I had applied for UAE PCC in August last year and submitted with my original application. Therefore I applied for it again and will be sending both UAE and Indian PCC now.

Hope this info helps.

Hope that this time they dont take very long to respond to me. 6 months is how long it had taken them to send me this ADR2 from the first ADR I received in Jan 2014.

I'd submitted my PCC in March after receiving a similar email from CIC. Since 1st April, there has been no news or PPR from the ADVO. I sincerely wish you get the PPR ASAP after submitting the originals to ADVO.

Hi AMJ,

You applied in July 2013?

I'd submitted my complete application to ADVO in July 2013. I had problem in getting PCC from Kuwait ( not that I had any case against my name ) so could not submit the PCC then. I was asked to submit PCCs from Kuwait as well as from Pakistan in Feb this year.

The only pattern I can see is that it has been 6 months since you sent it to them in March. I also had to wait 6 months from my first ADR to hear from them again :o
Really hope it wont be another 6 months!

hi,

does it really takes 6 months to get an update? or are there cases in ADVO wherein the whole process is faster? thanks

Some people finish their whole process in 6 months or less and for some others it take 15 months or more. It really depends on your case. No one can say specifically when you will hear from them. Be patient you will hear soon
