Spouse permanent residency visa/sponsorship ABU DAHBI

Hi group...

I've just received confirmation that i've been approved to sponsor my wife who is a Jordanian citizen currently living in Saudi Arabia. Therefore the visa application will be forwarded to the Abu Dahbi office.

I have read on the expected wait times on the CIC website that for this particular visa office it is a 24 month wait time.

Can anyone please comment who is currently in the process through this or who has been through it. I really don't want to wait two years for my wife and daughter to get here

Did u receive any update after ? because canadian embassy also send me letter ur spouse file have been transfer. Do u think it really take 24 month? I heard from many people it takes 7 months :'(

i have seen this process is of 2 years time. my advice to you would be to get your case history and see if there is way to speed up the preocess or atleast see whats comments about your case.

hi all thanks for this post, that's also my situation now im husband is a filipino and is a resident of dubai we were thinking to which visa office we will apply either from the Philippines or Abudhabi, i hope we will keep in touch so will know will know if its really true 24 months is too much.

Some says 24 months is not true and i guess its the maximum my belief is that for some case since its in the Middle East they just want to do some clear up of your name or a thorough history that canada will be safe ( u get me?) so I believe Sara's advice is of great help. Thanks will keep you posted about our plan and will surely keep in touch about the timeline if we decide to process the papers in dubai ;-)
