yes, we received the passport back with valid visa on May 8th 2015.

Below are the times lines,

March 27th - online file submitted through lawyer with upfront medicals.
May 1st - Got passport request
May 4th - We sent passport
May 8th - We received passport with valid visa along with authorization letter(approved letter).
May 14th - My wife flying to Canada

Applied for Spouse open work permit- March 17th, 2015
Got Medical request- April 27th.
Medical done - May 6th. No reply after medicals.

Its been almost 15th days since medicals. No response concerning medical or Passport request.
Is there any thing I need to worry about? Any idea what is taking so long now?

even we are waiting for medicals for my wife we applied online on 25th march 2015. and we did not get any medical request but on may 7th we got an update that medicals review in progress. did you get any update like this on mycic.. and Then got medical request?

We have applied through a lawyer so we have no access to mycic. Maybe the lawyer handles that. We only got an email from the lawyer about the medical request form and related instructions.

I also applied sowp online application in canada on april 28 without medical. But did nt get any updates after 22 days. I dont have access on mycic because my consultancy is doing it. If any one have same timeline please reply...

ok.. When did you apply application at vfs chandigarh?
Actually I have also called vfs to ask processing time. They told me 20 working days is minimum time to process application and rest varies from case to case.

Ya.. I have also applied for spouse open work permit on 14 april at vfs chandigarh... No update till today...
