Hello kababayans,

I've read your tips for sponsorship and I must say it helped a lot. I am planning to sponsor my husband. All papers are signed and I'm about to pass it when I realized that my permanent resident card is expired already. I immediately mailed all the necessary documents to immigration for PR renewal. But I'm just wondering if it's possible to include the photocopy of my old PR card in the sponsor application while I'm waiting for my new PR card. The processing time for PR card is 100 days and I don't want to wait that long to pass my sponsorship application I've tried calling the immigration but the call agents say different things. One advised me that my old PR card is okay provided that I write an explanation. The other two said that I can't because it's not valid anymore. now I don't know what to do..

hi....sabi kasi ng husband ko (canadian) wag dw me magpalit muna kasi sa Canada daw di naman ginagamit ng wife yung last name ng husband......

Kahit di na po kayo magpalit ng status sa Passport nyo pwede pa rin po nyong gamitin pero pagdating nyo po dito sa Canada medyo matagal ang pagpapalit ng status a friend of mine had the same case . Ginamit nya yung single status nya na Passport pero pagdating nya dito at pinalitan din nya to married name sa Passport inabot po siya ng 5-6 months bago napalitan ang status nya bale mag 10 months na sya dito sa Canada. Sabi nya kung alam lang daw niya sa ganun katagal sa Pinas nalang daw nya ginawa.

Pero choice pa rin po nyo kung gagamitin nyo po ang single status or papalitan . Sinishare ko lang po ang kaparehong case at naging experience ng friend ko .

I am currently employed at a BPO company. My boss has planned that we go either to Germany or the US for business trip.

My question is, would this affect the outcome or the processing of my sponsored visa?

Hi vincent my husband is out of country while his application is on process.. I think its ok as long as you go back when CEM contact you for PPR or mail/email for additional documents.
