naguluhan ako sa story mo .. so you are previously married with a kid on that previous guy who lives in america ?? tama ba ??
if you are married are you divorced ??
your husbund that applied for permanent resident in 2010 where is he now ??
can you clear your story up ??
if your husbund applied in 2010 .. via provincial nominee ?? or regular immigration ??

we cant help ease your mind if you wont tell us the whole story ... since we dont even know which category you are in ..

if you are being sponsored by your new husband .. you should be divorced/ annulled from your previous marriage if you were married .. if not you are not a family since new marriage without divorce/ annulment papers means your new marriage is invalid ...

if your husband is in canada .. via work permit and was applying for provincial nominee program .. then you have to wait for a long queue since they would only give pr to the once that the province really needed right away .. usually the priority there are skilled workers .. then .. for provincial nominee .. they will 1st process the papers review the application after they finalized it .. thats the time they would request a passport and they would the visa ready to be stamped on your passport .. and also if he applied for provincial nominee and sent his application to buffalo in 2010 .. you would experience delays as buffalo visa office was shut down that year and applications were sent to ottawa for processing all files was transferred about may of 2011 .. and due to back logs they have some of those papers were only accessed later 2012 ..

i know some mcdonalds crew who worked 4 years already here and still waiting for their papers .. also i know some welder and machinist who are skilled that only worked and got their papers done in a year .. being on a provincial nominee is really hard .. especially you are not skilled .. but i dont know what is your case .. im just giving some examples ..

spousal open work permit yang sowp ?? .. so it means work permit din yung asawa mo .. then apply ng pr thru PNP.. it might take a while .. meron ako kilala na naka gawa nyan .. while processing PNP yung husband naka kuha ng work permit yung wife .. so it is possible to still have it .. but for the study permit .. i dont think you want to do that .. kasi even thou public school dito if you are not a resident you have to pay to fee's pag ka alam ko .. at d mura mag aral dito sa canada .. lalo na 2 kids .. it would be a burden sa asawa mo .. since if PNP ang application nya kelangan nya mag pa kita ng certain amount of money for the government to be satisfied na kaya nya kayo i support .. pag babayran nyo tuition dito mauubos ipon nya i think .. i just tried to give you info .. d ko sure about sa tuition but alam ko pag d ka resident or citizen mag babayad ka .. but for sowp it should be possible ..

yup .. kasi tignan mo ah if marami mag apply ng student visa tapos walang bayad education nila .. ang education system are paid by tax payers .. diba d naman fair yun para sa mga nag babayad nun .. free education is the benefits of citizen and residents not international students .. kasi kung free ang elementary at high school sa student visa edi uulanin canada ng application for that .. so to filter it that education for international students are about double or triple the price of university students but they are willing to spend that much money to get top notch education and of course be able to apply for canadian experience class as well ..pero ganun din k-12 programs .. may bayad pag wala kang papers .. d pwedeng libre yun sa student visa ..

thanks marcjd...so you think po na possible na ma aaprove ung sa SOWP but yung sa student permit is kailangan nmin magpakita ng proof of funds na i think dapat overwhelming ang halaga.. as in yung dito pa lang sa manila visa office?

thanks po..pasensya na po daming tanong.. :)

Elementary and Secondary Education

Canada's elementary and secondary schools follow a government curriculum and employ government certified teachers, ensuring a high level of quality and a focus on individual student needs. This successful environment is highly acclaimed as school students excel in science, reading, and mathematics: Canadian students have consistently been among the top 5 academic performers in the world and number 1 among English speaking countries according to the OECD PISA studies in reading, mathematics and science. Students may choose from public or private school options.

In addition to the high quality of teaching Canadian schools provide students with a nurturing environment through student services and pedagogical services such as; counselling, academic and professional advisers, community involvement, second language support, special needs learning, tutorial sessions and extracurricular activities.

The facts

Elementary schools are grades 1 - 6.
Secondary schools are grades 7 - 12 in most provinces, with the exception of Quebec where secondary school runs from grades 7 - 11.
The school year runs from September - June.
Canadian high school diplomas are recognized by colleges and universities worldwide.
English as a Second Language (ESL) or French as a Second Language (FSL) courses are available to support international students.
Schools are the responsibility of the ministry or department of education in each province and territory.
All schools must register with and meet the curriculum and graduation requirements set by the Ministry of Education for that province/territory.
Public Schools

Offer co-educational day programs.
Homestay programs are available for international students.
Tuition and homestay fees range from CAD$10,500 to CAD$23,000 depending on the institution.

tuition atleast 10.5k$ per year .. to 23k .. for 2 .. that would be 21k to 46k$ in tuition sure canada would love you sending your kids and paying that amount ..
for sure the husband would work 2 shifts to provide everything .. but he cant do 2 jobs since he's on work permit .. work like a carabao is not an option as well since work are regulated in canada that you can only work for certain number of hours or the government can fine your employer ..

i hope this would be an eye opener .. should do research before doing something dont just decide you want to do something without thinking for it consequences .. but also i could be wrong about this ..
this would be the link

thanks marcjd... :)wow grabe nakakalula naman pala talaga ang tuition...
thats nothing compare to sending your kids to college here for international student .. being a resident / citizen it already cost about 15 to 20k a year to study in university here double or triple that to the fee that international students are paying for education .. also thats why universities here are crying over students that didnt had their visa because the school lost that money that they should have acquired ..

thanks again ng marami marcjd.. :) :)

nope .. mali rin .. pag labas ng permanent residence nyo dapat pack up na kayo and punta na agad dito .. but for now let them study there dont let them stop school kasi baka lalabas na ang permanent residence .. pa stop mo lng pag lumabas na ang papers .. one thing why not let them finish pag lumabas ang permanent residence .. may validity ang visa .. another thing is.. you can only renew your pr if you stayed 2 or 3 years ba yun sa canada within 5 years .. not so sure how many years .. so d pwede na papuntahin mo dito then pauwiin ulit para mag aral para maka tipid .. mahirap na desisyon .. pero well nasa iyo na yan

once permanent residence na kayo ... free na ang tuition sa primary school " elementary at highschool " then problema nyo na lng is college/ univeristy .. which is medyo madali naman solusyonan .. dahil pwede namna working student .. at meron ding student loans ..
