thanks for the clarification i called the call centre here in canada to ask they gave me my Client ID. and clarified that they put my e-mail add wrong thats why i didnt recieved any e-mail. then they informed me i was approved as a sponsor and it was already sent to manila on nov 16. how long do you think i should wait to follow up with my MP? around 4 months from sponsorship approval?

YES FOUR MONTHS IS A REASONABLE TIME IF U HAVENT HEARD ANYTHING FROM MANILA, but do u know about the GCMS files, they are the computer file on ur application from the time u send ur application until the applicant lands in canada. these files are in a computer in ottawa, anything manila does to ur file is recorded here, the only thing is, it kind of different codes for different things, but it can give u information. i think this is where the MP is sending his request for information but the extra for the MP is the people there will decode it all for the MP AND HE CAN TELL U WHATS GOING ON. u can get this urself if u apply for it and get a consent signed form ur spouse sent to u, it takes over 30 days to get the information this way and u mite not understand it all,

Ok in that case we will try to ask mp after 4months. I'm from Cebu. My husband just go back to Canada yesterday and its very lonely deep inside without the love of your life with u. I hope Manila will speed up the process lots of people are anxious to hear from them.

Im sorry to say but if u read through this forum u will see that its taking longer and longer each year since 2010, even though i read an article that said they were going to process spousal visas quicker by spending more money in manila redoing the offices and hiring more staff 2 years ago. when i got married sept 2011 i remember the processing time in manila was 7 months it quickly went to 9 by the time i applied and now its 11 months. SO IT WILL NEVER HURT TO HAVE THE MP HELPING YOU AT ANYTIME, I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT U WOULD SAY TO THEM RITE NOW TO GET THEM TO HELP ( ive just applied sir and i want u to help me get it faster) GOODLUCK I HOPE U DONT HAVE TO WAIT AS LONG AS WE DID, ITS 13 MONTHS NOW, HOW MANY MORE 2 3 5 only manila knows for sure

The idea of flooding the MPs with inquiries is politically the best way. Individual actions rarely get noticed. You can just as easily be singled out for "special treatment" (good or bad). But a flood of calls pertaining to practically every app they have on the go will register at a much higher level. Whether it will elicit any real change is debatable but it will definately get some attention.

Hello !!!! everyone waiting.... I do have alot to say on this Sat. night while I wait for my beautiful wife in Quezon City.The CEM is the slowest of all... and how many of you paid the 1040.00 dollars in advance saying it would be faster....and for anyone that tried to get your spouse a visitor visa...thats even more unreal!!!! they hire a company called VIA... they are not even Canadian.... but they can process it in 9 days but will decline you and send you a letter called Regulation 179 and still take your money....of 75.00 Canadian dollars... So don,t try this...they even know your spouse has to return to Manila to wait for their PPR...Did anyone notice how fast it took to get your legal cap. to marry... about 45 mins and the person that looks it over is not even Canadian....then a Canadian comes out and signs it real fast. wow !!! a real fast 50.00 bucks....Now the waiting starts.... 4 months for the NSO and then all the medicals and pics and police clear... Sometimes I think the CEM is so corrupt that the officer waits for your medical to expiry then they send it back and make you do it all over again and the DR. pays the officer a commission on every one they send back....Hey !!!its the Fils....I was married to my spouse May 7/12 and sent our app Aug 29/12 and was approved Oct 16/12... I bet her PPR will be after May 7/13 and make us do the whole thing all over again....since we did the medicals while I was in Manila....As we are Canadians we should have the right to call or go to our embassy in Manila and be able to check our status....but they won,t let you....Wasn,t that Russia in 1980...the USA moves faster than Canada does and the population is much bigger.... Why? we let PR sponsor... you should only be Canadian to do this... I,m sorry to say that. and to say one more thing I,m 53 years old and my wife is 51 but the way the CEM is working she will never get here...and we both lost our mother while we have been waiting... I do hope everything works out for all of us and hey check the spread sheet... but if you notice not one of use got a PPR in 9 days.... they must be doing Japan now... hey they get to come to Canada without a visitor visa... get back ..... Hi now the second step starts .... you have to start counting from transfer file.... your looking at 7 momths my friend... if its just your spouse only.... the CEM is corrupt......Japan is now there and they are moving them faster .... Japan don,t need a visitor visa

U WOULD THINK SINCE THE APPLICATION ASKED YOU IF YOU WANTED CORRESPONDENCE IN E-MAIL, YOU EXPECT TO GET IT IN E-MAIL, BUT OH NO :-\ THEY SEND IT BY SNAIL MAIL LABELED URGENT, THEY HAD THE LETTER ON THE COMPUTER HOW LONG WOULD OF IT taken TO SEND IT BY E-MAIL VERSUS PRINTING IT AND PUTTING IT IN A ENVELOPE I THINK THEY ARE SCARED U MITE GET THIER E-MAIL ADDRESS TO EARLY IN UR STAGE 2)

Incidentally, contacting the call centre ... well ... that will be of NO value to you. Nobody knows or even feigns to know anything until your package has been "opened".
