where your application will be processed depends on the visa officer who initially reviewed your application.....and IRCC could decide to process your application in Canada or outside Canada......however, some sponsorship are processed at the visa office responsible for the PA country of origin.

Don't worry about where your sponsorship will be processed......as the approval depends on the proof of the supporting documents and the genuineness of your marriage/relationship.

Hi Daphy, mine too was forwarded to CPC Mississauga and not in local VO. I think it's okay, I saw applicants with the same timeline as mine also have the same scenario. They also say that Missussauga is faster so let's just keep our hopes high :)

Hey, if anyone can help me please do reply.
I had applied for my spouse PR visa to Canada as my husband sponsored me. As per my knowledge it has been 57 or 58 days since I had applied my application and it is a paper submission. I just want to know that-
1- is paper submission the only way to apply for spouse visa or it can be submitted online too ?
2- I haven’t received any notification yet not even AOR1 and it has been 2 months approximately. How much time it takes for the first AOR to come ?

Please please if anyone can clear my doubts it would be a great help.
Thank you.

AOR1 takes 8-12 weeks on average. Sometimes it’s issued sooner, sometimes it takes a little longer. If you’ve heard nothing by now, that’s probably a good sign. IRCC are normally pretty quick at returning applications that have issues, errors, etc.

Wait for another couple of weeks and contact IRCC directly if you’ve heard nothing at that point.

I found this contact number for outside of Canada: +1 613 944 4000

And this where you can send a case specific enquiry: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp#q2

Hope that helps.
