Good day! I want to know how long does it take to get the result of spousal sponsorhip once i completed the application package and my documnets to the immigration of canada. If they dont see any problem with my papers and we prove that our relationship is genuine and we are married. Can you tell me how long or what is the shortest time to get the result? Any experience? Or any idea? Can you give me the timeline base on your experience? Thanks and mabuhay po!

You need to tell us if you applied outland or inland - and through which visa office.

My crystal ball is STILL in the shop (parts are getting realllly hard to find, I guess), so I'll say:

Outland- anywhere from 5 months to...18 months???

Inland- 2018 2017 anywhere from 14 months to...24 months??

They are asking you which country you are from/live in. Which visa office they send your application to process depends on which country you are from. Each visa office has a different processing time.

See the following link for CIC processing time on family sponsorship.

Applying inland or outland is based on your situation, and weighing the pros and cons. You may want to get to know more about it first, use the search function on the forum and decide whether inland or outland is better for you.

Shortest time?? I'll give you 8 and a half months for your outland application processed in Manila. That's from our personal experience (same VO), but that was also two years ago.

That's okay. We're a smart crowd. We see a foreign word we don't recognize, then it's not our VO and generally don't touch it. Well . . .
