Hi,

My PR through FSW is approved. I am planning to apply outland spouse sponsorship for my spouse. Given the travel restrictions, I am planning to travel within next month of they are eased. But can I apply for spouse sponsorship without PR card ?

Thank you.
Do you have the copr? Landed?

Not yet.. but as PR card takes some time i dont want to waiting for so long before applying.

You can't apply until you've landed. The copr after that can be used to sponsor.

I assume your spouse was on your own application as unaccompanying?

Thank you,
yes, my spouse was on my application - non accompanying.
If i apply after getting COPR for spouse outland sponsorship, can I later update my spouse sponsorship application after I get PR card ?

I don't think there'd be any particular need to update IRCC that you received a document issued by them, esp for a pretty common situation. They'll have your UCI and know your status. But sure, you could.

Note - you're already in Canada? You're referring to copr but for someone who's outside Canada, the copr alone is not sufficient, need to land.

Hey guys.

I am March 2,2020 applicant
Both spouse and sponsor living outside canada
We finished everything.
April 14th 2021 we were giving procedural fairness letter (proof the sponsor will return to Canada)
Our gcms notes say they believe our marriage is genuine but wanna know that I will go back to Canada.
We submitted all the proof on April 22, 2021.
Yesterday night ecas changed to decision made.
could this be bad because of the procedural fairness letter?
We submitted so much proof.

when will I know???

Pfl letter is when they have doubts about something and instead of them just refusing ur application they give u a chance to explain their concerns and at this time there only concern was if me(the sponsor) would return to canada

NORMALLY seeing DM is a good thing as in the majority of cases it is positive. Since you received the PFL letter there is definitely some question as to what the outcome is. I am not trying to discourage you, just want to say that DM is not always positive. Hang tight to hear from them, wishing you the best.

I’m the sponsor and I’m a Canadian citizen by birth and I lived there for 24 years. I left in 2017 and ending up staying for 1 year but than I met my wife so I stayed 3 more years right after we got married I started the process for sponsorship

Ya that’s what I heard. Hopefully the proof I gave them for returning to Canada was enough. Def praying
