Hi Leon,
Kindly urgently advice. I live out of Canada with my partner, and have a child with common law partner and been living together for two years. Also was previously married to another partner and got a few kids but yet to get divorce( agreed to go slow down on divorce after initial court application, hence not pursuing it currently but haven't canceled the process).
I intend to submit Express entry after recently receiving Ielts results.
How best do I handle the issue. I prefer to immigrate with common law partner plus all kids. All kids are below 16 years.
Can i:
1.Immigrate with the common law partner even if I haven't finalized the divorce with the first wife?
2.can the children from my first marriage be allowed to immigrate with me.
3. What immigrations options are available for ex wife in future if she so wishes to?

Post in the express entry forum to get useful help. The family sponsorship forum is for PRs or citizens sponsoring their family members.

Hello,

I'm preparing documents to sponsor my husband who is from Pakistan, (Outland route), regarding documents it is my understanding that now I need to only send photocopies of all documents and these do not need to be notarized or certified?

Do i need to send original for any document or notarized copy?

Every country has different requirements. When you get the forms and you put in your country, that will tell you in the guide what you need

The country specific requirements for Pakistan mentions the documents and additional forms; there is no mention of whether they should be original or copies...

I'm from the UK and the long guide told me what to do concerning the forms and documents. For me the only thing that was mentioned to be original was the PCC. Have a look at that and it will tell you. Be warned, it's lonnnnnnng

I am August 09, 2019 applicant, my file was transferred to LVO on January 13, 2020 as intimated by CPC Sydney via email. Since then no acknowledgement receipt of the application by LVO uptil now. The ECAS still silent and showing the last status "Medical Results have been received". I am worried that how long I will have to wait for AoR2.
Auhust 1st applicant got AOR2 ON January 30th and no transfer to other vo my file remains in missisauga. Ive looked at the spreadsheets and it can take a few days up to 3 months for an AOR2

I did screen shot of some of our conversations in messenger some witH I love yous and some short conversations in tagalog. Should i still have it translated? Or should i ask official translator to translate it for me? Does it have to be exactly on the same line with the conversation or i do i need separate page for it

Hi,
I (sponsor, Canadian citizen) have applied to sponsor my partner and our daughter in April of last year. Because I'm a sailor (gone +6 months / year) and we were not married, and I had no resident status in her country (United States) we applied under the conjugal category and our application was refused... My partner and our daughter have now been living with me as visitors in Canada since October, and we are finally engaged and about to marry in the U.S. at the end of this month. We want to send in our application as soon as possible. We already applied for an extension of their visitor Visa and want to send in an open work permit with the sponsorship application. Should we apply for outland or inland? We don't want to loose the possibility of traveling if possible, but could accept it for faster processing times etc.

I definitely thought to pay all fees and have proof of payment before we come back to Canada at the end of the month after getting married.

Any comments are appreciated! I regret not asking more questions here and elsewhere before applying the first time...

Thanks!

Hi,

You have Negatives and Positives with Both Options. You will have to choose which is Best for You

INLAND: Your spouse will not be able to leave Canada until the application is complete however, they can apply for the OWP with the Inland App. Not sure if your child is enrolled in school or not. However If they're not school age I guess you are ok.

OUTLAND: You cannot have an OWP, they may be able to visit at the discretion of a Border Officer. You may get through quicker...However it depends on how complicated your situation/application is.

It all depends on which situation fits best for you. Keep researching. These are just a few points.
