You have to used the new kit. You can check it on the website. Got my PPR just right now
 
Hello,
I submiteded application for my wife ( she is in India). They received my application on October 17th 2017.
I got my file number on November 29th 2017.
They sent our file to Delhi on 17th January and did medical exam and police clearance on same month.
I just received pre-arrival letter on 22nd August 2018.
Generally every one getting their passport request with in 10 month time frame.
Can any one tell me how long is taking to get passport request.

Got my pre-arrival letter today and at the same time my PPR. Im nov 2017 applicant. GoodLuck

1. You cannot start the application under spousal sponsorship as marriage certificate is one of the very important documents to be submitted. This will help to convince the officials that your marriage is genuine and your eligibility to sponsor depends on this. If you were part of a conjugal relationship it would have been different. I would suggest, get the documents ready and wait till you get your marriage certificate to proceed.

2. Visit visa at this point might make sense, as you are not married. If she got good travel history and no ties in Canada, it might work. But from my experience, if you apply after your application it will get rejected. The officials will think that you are trying to get her in to Canada as you cannot wait till the sponsorship is done. Try applying but what I would suggest is ask a lawyer before you do anything.

3. If you are a PR it is advised to reduce travel till you get a confirmation of sponsorship. It is always advised to show proofs that you are staying with your wife and are in a very convincing relationship. This helps your application. My wife is a Canadian citizen and she moved here for a year to India after our wedding. We have enough proofs including photographs, rental contracts, investments etc to show that our relationship was a genuine one. This was advised by our lawyer. But I have heard that there is some difference with a PR and a Citizen in-terms of saying out of Canada. Please check this.

I am March and still waiting they sent my app to paris on May 8, 2018 and I am still waiting. Whats your time line my friend????
 
Hello All,
I submitted Open Work Permit and Dependent PR applications (In-Land) on June 21st, 2018 and it was received on June 22, 2018. Received my AOR on August 01, 2018. Exactly in the sixth week. It usually takes 6-8 weeks to receive an AOR.
- Have read that many people are getting Open Work Permit in 12-14 weeks. Could you please confirm the same. If yes, then I have completed my 11th week today!
- Also when I linked my application online, I remember seeing the status as 'Applicaion in Process'. Today the status is showing 'Appliation in Progress'. Is this some kind of progress in application or just a change in the wordings!

Kindly let me know your thoughts on the above mentioned points.

Just getting curious and excited with this long wait!
 
I have done my medical on 30th of July and it was received after 3 days. And my spouse is from Philippines and I am from Nepal so they asked me to submit relevant documents to prove our marriage. So I have submitted all documents. Now I am here in UAE and all documents i submitted in Canadian Embassy,Abu Dhabi. The Problem is my contract is finished with company and with in few days I am going to Nepal. So if they ask me to submit mypassport, what is the best possible way to submithere in Abu Dhabi? How long does it take to call for passport? Can I send throw DHL? Or need to present myself here?
 
Hi All,

I would like to ask about the PPR and timeline for visa stamping.

I received my PPR last Sept. 4, 2018. (Received it on my email’s SPAM folder. Might want to check yours too.)

I submitted the copy of the email request, the signed Appendix B form, my passport and pictures last Sept. 7, 2018.

When they sent out PPR, does it mean i am already approved and just waiting for my Visa? TIA for all the answers.
 
Hey guys,

I'm in the process of sponsoring my husband. I have 2 questions:

1) Is it okay that I'm receiving OSAP for tuition? I'm in university but I also have employment and whatnot. But will OSAP be a problem?
2) Would the processing be faster if we do the medical before we submit our application and submit everything at once? Or is it better to just wait until the medical is requested?
