Hey guys,

Can we apply for spousal sponsorship directly online (submitting IMM forms/ evidence and all?), or is it mandatory to submit paper forms to CIC Mississauga?

There is no online option. You need to apply by paper.

There is no set income requirement for spousal sponsorship and dependant children. That being said the sponsor has to show proof of how they will support their spouse once they land in Canada. How you will survive financially and so on. It is easy enough to show your intent by sending in a detailed employment plan. Also, with regards to housing arrangements or financial support from family. You can write a letter explaining if you have an offer from family or friends to stay with until you "get on your feet".

Take Care

Hi Blueberry,

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. Hope you have a good day ;)

Perhaps posting entirely in English will yield the desired result?

Hi, please ask only in English in this thread. If you want to ask in Tagalog, go to this thread instead. I cannot post the link yet but just look for this topic in the Family Class Sponsorship Section ->

what do you mean must pay ....for the transmission charge?

if you mean, you have an option,,,?how to pay...? or an option to pay or not to pay..?
option 1 ...how to pay... yes there is an option by cheque if done thru courier or if you will do the transaction in person it is payable in cash...i hope this helped you understand a little bit...

I would appreciate some help. my wife and i would like some clarification regarding the proof of relationship section of the spousal sponsorship application. one of the sections asks:

One (1) document from three (3) of the following sets of options:

a) joint ownership of residential property or joint residential leases or joint rental agreement listing bot the sponsor and the principal applicant.
b) proof of joint utilities accounts.
c) important documents for you an your sponsor showing the same address, such as copies of Government issued identification documents: driver's licenses etct.
d) important documents for you or your spouse showing that you are recognized as each other's spouse such as employment or insurance benefits.
e) documentary evidence of financial support between your sponsor and yourself.
f) other proof that your relationship is recognized by your friends and or family.(e.g Letters, social media, information showing public information.

Our concerns are that we only have two documents (e and f) and it requires 3 documents.

we have lots of photos together airline ticket purchases, our honeymoon receipts and so. What can we do? We got married October 2016. and we want to submit the application soon but we want to ensure we have everything correct.

thank you

It's quite different from application to application. For some it takes days - others wait many months.

Can someone please confirm is Notice of assessment is acceptable or is "Option C" the only thing they need?

I wasn't sure so I gave both. First I got my Option C and then realized that they need the Notice of Assessment, not the option C. I gave both anyway just to be safe.

Submit your recent notice of assessment 2016 and letter from employer. No need for option c
