I am not married yet. I am evaluating options to get her here. So thinking if I should get married now and inform IRCC or get PR and then sponsor her.

What is the best strategy>

A helpful tip:

There is a pilot porgraming created by CIC. Where you text ENROLL to 613-209-4020
and they will text you a link to your cell phone so that you can print a barcode and add it to your
spousal application. This way you will be notified once your application has been recieved
by the mailroom !

Hope this helps and gives people some peace of mind, as this process is stressing when you
have no idea where your application is

Hello,

We received a message yesterday by email from CIC after sending in our permanent residency application a few weeks ago (spousal sponsorship). Its a request form saying,

***In order to continue processing your application, further information is required. You must complete and submit the following to this office within 30 days of the date of this letter (2017/03/01): 95821163 - Pirita Outi Inka Pritchard: > Passport photos: Passport size photographs (photographs must conform to the specifications outlined in the Guide to Immigrating IMM 3999 and Appendix B Photo Specifications) This must be received at this office by: 2017/03/01***

We included 4 photos originally (2 for the sponsor and 2 for the applicant). We put name, date of birth, date, studio name, studio address (although we did not sign). Our sizes that we did were according to IMM 3901E and were (50 mm x 70 mm (2 inches wide x 2 3/4 inches long) and sized so the height of the face measures between 31 mm and 36 mm (1 1/4 inches and 1 7/16 inches) from chin to crown of head (natural top of head)

ALTHOUGH Weve read some other posts saying they included 8 photos total!

1. We cant find the form imm 3999 and appendix b ANYWHERE - can some PLZ provide a link for us for EXACT measurements
2. Could someone please let us know what they may think the issue is? Not enough photos? Wrong sizes? no signature?

If we had IMM 3999 appendix b we could know the issue BUT we can cant find anywhere ....

Couldn't tell you why they're requesting new photos if you had good ones. The only thing they requested I upload was my 5669 Schedule A because with the new forms they require an electronic copy not a paper (even though we sent in the paper copy).

I googled your 3399 form, here it is. You'll have control +F to find the appendix B part or scroll down, all it is explaining is the photo specs. We went to Walgreens and did Canada Passport photos (same size as PR).

Some VOs used to require lots of photos.

1. If you Google the form name, it will come up with the IRCC link. Not quite sure why you would be looking for IMM3999. You need to search for your country-specific guide.

2. IRCC probably lost them...


I would suggest you edit your post to remove her full name.

You had official photos taken for the sponsor AND applicant?
OK, now I'm freaking out a little - we only sent photos for myself (the applicant). I can't find any documentation stating official photos of the sponsor are required, too? Did I forget a piece of the application? Ahhh!!

Relax. You only need photos for the principal applicant.

Totally understand. I was second guessing everything. Then I made the mistake of going back through our application (we scanned the whole thing to a PDF before mailing it off) and actually found a minor error on one form and spent the next three weeks convinced it was going to be sent back.

I received my visa and COPR today but i have 1 concern. My wife who is a canadian PR is due to give birth (possibly before i land in Canada). Do i still need to inform IRCC of the birth prior to me landing as also CBSA on landing?

Hi,

We are almost done with the application and going to send it this week. My wife is sponsoring me and we have a Canadian 6-month-old daughter. I have a question regarding the supporting documents for sponsored person in IMM5533 (Documents checklist). In the "Identity docs, travel docs, and passports" section, I was asked to provide passports' first pages, canada entry stamps if any, birth certificates, national IDs, family booklet, etc.

Does my wife (Sponsor) and daughter need to provide those docs even though they are Canadians? If not, then is it only me who needs to provide those docs?

Is your wife currently in Canada ? If she's not in Canada and give birth before you land you will need to return the CoPR and add your new born to the application .
