Please help!

I have a firend who got married more than two years ago in Hongkong. He applied for spousal sponsorship right away and was refused. After that the wife applied for a work permit as a caregiver in canada. While waiting for the result, her employer in Hongkong planned to visit Canada and applied a visa for her and refused again. Now, we got the result for the work permit after 9 mos. and again was refused. The husband is desperate now on how they can be together. Is there any other way thathe can do?
Why she was refused?

This may be one of those cases where they will have to do what is needed in order to be together. It may be time for the couple to think about other countries.

What are the nationalities of the couple?

Chris.

Hi,

Don't worry about not receive an notice of your application being received. Some people don't receive any notice until they have sponsor approval. Some receive AOR about 10 days before they receive sponsor approval (the was the case for us... AOR 1-2 weeks before we got sponsor approval). If you know that your application was delivered by the courier, don't worry.
You should expect to here something a bit before sponsor approval or for sponsor approval right around the posted time (unless of course you're missing something and they request for u to send it first).

Thankyou Tink. Do the send AOR through email or letter? And to sponsor's address?

It could be either through email or regular post but most likely it will be email. Yes to the sponsor. There is a possibility no aor will be sent as well.

Hello guys! Does anyone know how long it takes them to process refund? I just realize we paid more than what was required for the sponsorship of spouse including the rprf.. We filed the application last april 28,2015...

When I wrote to them I included my email, my mailing address, UCI Number, reason for refund etc.. if you included a email to acknowledge you should get one from them. Least I did when I was Inland. If you included all those things, I would def. wait it out. At some point they will acknowledge back.

hello everyone..!!
As per shown on the website, the processing time for spousal sponsorship has been increased from 8 months to 16 months for NDVO.

I wanted to inquire does it take exactly 16 months plus the sponsor's time(61 days) or lesser time?

Is it the maximum time limit or the minimum?Plz help.

Hi Folks,

I am sponsoring my Wife.

Few weeks after her re-medical, her online status for 'Permanent Residence Application' went to 'decision made' and it states that CIC will contact her with the decision.

CIC has both our addresses and email addresses. Yet, till now CIC hasn't contacted her (or me) regarding the decision. I emailed the embassy involved (London Embassy in our case) 2 weeks ago inquiring about the decision but haven't received any response yet.

Can somebody please enlighten me as to why CIC haven't contacted us yet and how long does it take for the decision to arrive? Is our case normal? Besides waiting, what option do I have?

I must say it is little frustrating to see majority posters (whose case is being processed at London office) getting their decision+passport request within 1-2 weeks after their online status change.

I'm London as well, is that what I have to look forward to as well? No activity on ecas for weeks on end, then when i finally see movement its over?

Check your junk email..if there is nothing, wait patiently for another two weeks top....Yes its a normal case.....
No worries, just hang on...sometime LVO has taken 4-6 weeks to send PPR...ur decision will b positive IA....
decisions are rarely negative, even if they r, they ask clarification before making any negative decision...

so just wait a bit more ..smile
